I am trying out firefox again (back from Chrome) and I can't get images to load.

I have tried

Uninstalling adblock

Going into safe mode (and images still don't load)

and going into my "about:config" and setting permission_image 1 or whatever.

This is what it looks like,

Anyone have any ideas?

Check image permissions

Firefox allows you to prevent images from loading for certain websites to make pages load faster. If you are having trouble viewing images:

  1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options.
  2. Options window, select the Content panel.
  3. Make sure there is a check mark next to Load images automatically
  4. Click on Exceptions... next to Load images automatically to open the Exceptions - Images window.
  5. In the Exceptions - Images window, look at the list of sites. Make sure the sites with which you're having trouble are not in the list.
  6. Click Close to close the Exceptions - Images window.
  7. Click OK to close the Options window.

1. Does iExplorer/chrome load images?

2. Does firewall / antivirus / other programs block firefox?

3. Disable modem/router firewall(?)

4. Disable all FF addons/plugins.

5. Clear FF cookies + cache.

6. Try new graphic card drivers?

1. Yes chrome did. I never tried IE.

2. Not sure, i'll check when I get home.

3. I don't think I have one?

4. I tried that - And even tried safe mode.

5. I tried this, but loading images didn't work from the start anyways.

6. All my drivers are up to date.

Works fine for me mate. I tested locally with 7.x versions. Do you have any add on installed or something?

Hmm.

No I don't. I even tried on safe mode which would disable any add ons anyways.

If you haven't epicly modded it, you could try reseting your options to default, and then try load the images in safe mode, to see whether it's your settings or not.

I've tried everything in this thread (including that link that was provided and reinstalling completely) and I still have the same issue. I give up I guess.

Thanks for your help guys.

Works as expected in Chrome, FF, and IE for me. All latest versions.

Same problem here.

Sites with lots of picture's are causing even more trouble loading.

Checked everything and no it's nothing I've done. I have a degree in computer sciences and know what I'm doing.

Ever since 7.0.1 Firefox has failed me. 8.0 is even worse.

Using IE now which I hate but FF is so bugged it's almost unusable for me.

Using 64-Bit Win 7. (since someone will ask, lol)

Also having problems when I close it the process stays running meaning I have to manually close the process to re-open.

Many bugs are reported on FF forums.
