ETPRO config Needed

Hello guys :P

 

This message is to anyone who play on etpro servers and have some knowledge of cvars setting for etpro.

I need config with common cvars used on etpro when i mean etpro I'm talking about cvars where you can join etpro server without having kick or anything after few minutes cos you rate is not allowed or anything else.

 

So anyone can help me and post etpro config, Here is some common cvars i noticed on some etpro servers:

 

rate "25000"

snaps "20"

cl_maxpackets "100"

cl_punkbuster "1"

cl_yawspeed "0"

cl_pitchspeed "0"

cg_fov "90"

 

and more if you see stuff need to be add, Please don't post all your configs here i just want common cvars used on etpro server

Remove snaps and cg_fov from default config since by default game is at 90. You can also remove yawspeed and pitch speed.

 

Rate and maxpackets are only need on Etpro. Each league has different settings so they will also change with leagues.

Thanks a lot :hi it's true some etpro i visited have forcecvar that's better sometimes cos this way player will not be kick but his config is set to server setting and old cvars saved to backup file which better choice but some other don't use this and kick player :embrass thats why i wanna give player through our menu, set his setting with regulars accepted cvars.

 

You should change maxpackets 120 to 100 maxi .. all server set this from 30 to 100 at least all with punkbuster ON

 

@Hell for yawspeed and pitchspeed default game setting is "140" but on etpro server i visited forced you to set them "0" so i will keep them man ^^

As far as configs go you can easily make your config similar to what you use in etpub. Most servers will use forcecvar on them and if you join a server that doesn't do that I personally wouldn't go back to those servers. All league configs do use forcecvar so if your configs aren't in the legal requirements the configs will set them to what they should be.

 

I have been working with etpro now for almost 4 years and my primary job as a league admin is setting up servers, writing league configs and general server management. These are a list of the basic cvar settings for any etpro server that is used in competitive play (ESL, TWL, ETL & clanbase). The 4 most legitimate ET leagues in the game.

You should also have something for recording demos in your config as all leagues require players to take demos during matches. I use a demo toggle which uses F12 and is very simple to use. Just press F12 once and it starts recording demo, a second press of F12 will stop recording so there is no need to try to remember how to start or stop recording, plus less typing.

As for personal setting those you have to adjust according to you, your comp, what type of vid card you have and mouse. Mouse sensitivity will vary from player to player and alot depends on the type of mouse, mouse pad and your system itself, basically trial and error. If you are wanting to do comp you will need to add class changes and spawn points to your config so you can instantly /kill and change classes when needed without going to limbo menu to select class or spawn points.
