Jaaa!& Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Quick Snipet: The Obama administration on Wednesday offered up to a $5 million reward for information leading to the capture of the suspected drug traffickers who shot and killed a U.S. immigration agent and wounded another in Mexico last month. The State Department said its Narcotics Rewards Program would pay the amount to anyone coming forward with information that results in the arrest of those responsible for the February 15 attack that killed Jaime Zapata and wounded Victor Avila. Both men were agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Full Article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110330/ap_on_re_us/us_us_mexico_immigration_agents What's your thoughts? Quote
General Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 I believe the US Has rights to do this, except with not such a high reward bounty. the reason i believe they can do this is because it was a US official Quote
darkfang77 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 If bounty hunting in mexico is illegal, how come they're doing this in the first place? They should have some rights to extradite criminals, as long as they weren't provoking anyone/thing. Quote

Really I unless the Mexican government has a problem with this though I don't see why anyone else should. Quote

To the best of my knowledge, Mexico won't extradite a national that will be put on death row which is quite likely in this case. I think they're putting the bounty out there hoping someone in Mexico will help usher the killers over the border. The Mexican authorities will likely do nothing except complain about how the bounty is unjust. Still...5 million is a good chunk of taxpayer money. Quote
Papito Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 How can i say? All of you live out of Mexico and only know bad news, murders, bad government and injustice, but you never see what the frontier police do against other people, how they hunt them, well, how can i say? Quote
