stabak Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 To stab: I have not conducted a poll or anything but whenever it is brought up on the server seemingly everyone wants adren gone and lots of people complain or leave when oasis comes on. While I don't like oasis I can just hop to spec for its duration so that isn't so bad, but you can't do the same with adren. You was on yesterday ? Or afk ? they Talk in Goldrush about adren. And no one complain about it. And about Oasis i never saw going more peoples than in other maps Location: Germany.

Both TB and $k fiddled around with servers a few months back, but there are just too many empty servers around for them to get any traffic. Then again, people are already used to playing on your servers so that will probably increase interest.

Some time this week.. Waiting on enhance mod support for 2.2.0. No more covert ops with mp40 shit. All fixed in jaymod 2.2.0.

Neon Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 (edited) I wonder why, it really helps manage balance (and you can create different game modes on one server such as realistic damage). I mean, I HATE flamers as they are in the game since they have one of the two main super-weapon characteristics - you don't have to aim (the other being anything that one hit kills) along with the fact that it does high damage, blinds players and in my case freezes the game (due to fps crashing low). It would be nice to reduce flamer power without removing them entirely. Edited April 30, 2011 by Neon

Why there is no bullet fall so that they can't shoot half the way down the map. You hate FLAMERS, they hate guns.. i guess hate is part of game
Neon Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Well for the most part et maps are far too small for bullets fired from any of the in game weapons to really have any downwards curvature. Secondly, the flamer is the spray and pray weapon, with an mp40 you actualle do have to aim. Thirdly, sure the flamers may hate guns but that doesn't amount to much of an argument in itself if there is one person on a server with this as their opinion, with 40 other players who hate the flamer.

I don't see reason why people hate flamers.. flamers are the one who can clear the mob and make the team win.. And with fast shooting flamers are pretty useless.. IMO flamer should do more damage but range should be short. And no, not all 40 hate flamer.. I don't. I feel he is important guy to win the map and so do panzer. Each class plays it important role.. Guess what? Brink got Molotov's which people hate in ET
Neon Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 (edited) I didn't say all 40 do (just an example), but just because some people like flamers doesn't mean most people do. In truth, if the only way to clear a group of enemies is with a flamer, then the teams are unbalanced or likely you are playing on a map such as Goldrush where the objective is close to the spawn, with a spawntime that is far too short (this problem occurs on beginners all the time. In essence if there are 20v20 players on a server and whether your team wins or loses depends on one guy with the flamer and everybody else is irrelevant then something is wrong. Furthermore, flamers hardly ever do anything to help with the objective. Quite often the flamer actually gets most kills, even if they are a terrible player, by simply running into the enemy spawn and spinning around while firing over and over again all map long. I doubt this is quite what you are thinking of as an "important role" but this is what it amounts to 90% of the time. Even something such as flamers being able to set themselves on fire could remedy this. Edited April 30, 2011 by Neon

polemarch Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 What do you think about increasing limit for mines ? They are very useful for engineers which dont have situations for kill because they major aim is objectives. So maybe if limit will grow up if will be much fair ?
