*Sypher* Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 If you're talking about photoshop, I don't get a thing of it, while I think I will really like it to become better in it. The result, since today I'm looking good to photoshop programs. I have from myself Coral Paint Shop Pro X2, but it sucks hard. So have you guys any suggestions for me which program to use. (Free is a must...) And if so, all tutorials linked to it are also welcome. Quote
Wifestein Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Adobe Photoshop CS5 or CS4 :] or Adobe photoshop elements 8 or 9 Quote
Krauersaut Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Adobe Photoshop CS5 or CS4 :] or Adobe photoshop elements 8 or 9 Photoshop isn't free. The only free tool I could think of is GIMP. Quote
Krauersaut Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 trial is free The trial version is, as the name suggests, a version to try out the software and is limited to 30 days. Quote

Avrae+ Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I never knew photoshop was so expensive.. From free software i have picasa 3, but when i need to use any image edit(rarely) i usually use photoshop CS4. Quote
CaldasGSM Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Paint.NET great tool, free, lots of plugins... Quote
Antimony Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 You can try GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program. Its free software and is bit similiar to Photoshop or If you can afford it get Photoshop CS4 or CS5. I use Photoshop CS4 Quote
Administrators JoeDirt Posted January 8, 2011 Administrators Posted January 8, 2011 Adobe does offer certain discounts to students, contact their customer care. Quote
OnionKnight Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I won't lie when i say I use a crack for my CS4 (but you can never update it. It is like a trial version that doesn't expire). Ask around, I am sure one of your friends got the entire collection on a cracked DVD (if you know a friend who has PS, it is probably cracked and they probably have a DVD. I mean I doubt the typical user can afford a couple hundred dollars to pay for a graphics/editing program) EDIT: Also take a look on download.com . I am sure they have many free Photoshop clones (there is lots of freeware like that i bet. I mean they have freeware of a Microsoft office suite clone, they should have photoshop too) Quote
Zuthus Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 In the Youtube's PS tutorials many people ask how to get Photoshop free, etc, and get answers, I tried once and it worked, I've got CS4. I have the folder with all you need. Is there any way I can send it to you? Quote

I use Photoshop CS4 Thanks, I was already looking into that program, just not sure if that's the right thing. Adobe does offer certain discounts to students, contact their customer care Even those discounts are still expensive for me I'm afraid, especially for someone of 15 years who just starts exploring photoshop. Also, last time I downloaded freeware my computer got crashed badly. But I might try it some torrent sites. gigabyte Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 The only way to get Photoshop for free is to download a cracked version period(Not suggesting you do that). Honestly my photoshop cs5 is cracked. Like Joe said, i'm a student and they do offer me a discount but it is still too much, but i do use it for free at school. So i suggest GIMP, Ive used it for a long time and is really good for a free software, does many things Photoshop does but not all things. Quote
