As the title hints, my mouse 3 button finally wore out after 2+ of gaming on the Razer Viper 8k Hz, 20k DPI WIRED mouse.

How do I find out the name of said part? I've looked and searched abroad which leads me here as an almost last resort.

Do we have any Razer Experienced/Tech people out there who know where to purchase a replacement part? (I've already searched Ebay/amazon/google for parts only sales and asked sellers what the "heck is wrong with this item to be parts only?" but would rather opt for a small new part instead of taking the risk of buying junk).

No tutorials are available on said Razer WIRED mice but I did find a tuto which led me to a website named DigiKey --> I would need a similar part found here (this is a Logitec m3 button)

Any leads, advice, etc are greatly appreciated.

ah that clumsy produced middle button...

some electronical geeks solded a regular omron switch into it... because they are way more reliable.

here´s a tutorial for it.

otherwise you can measure the size of the microswitch and try to find a similar one by searching for

"silent square micro switch", but honestly, i´d prefer the omron switches. they last quiet well.

tutorial:

International Shop to buy from:

https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Omron-Electronics/D2F-01F?qs=0w99tykdtPLhoVh2lktm%2BQ%3D%3D

Ps. i know it´s not the exact same, but maybee you can grind of some material of the microswitch aswell, to make it fit...

as long as you only cut off the NC contact legs.

usually those switches have writings like this:

NC=Normally close

C= Common

NO=Normally open

You had me at "omron"

Have you fixed this issue yet @XeRoiX

That button seems to get gunked up real easily from what I'm reading. I'd blast it out, drip some 99% isopropyl or contact cleaner, and repeat. If gunk is the issue, do that enough times and it'll be fixed.

If the switch is truely bad or if you're just feeling froggy and want to change it cuz why not, I think you're looking for a 6*6*6.5mm two pole micro switch like this one.  https://www.kailhswitch.com/micro-switches/mouse-micro-switches/silent-square-micro-switch.html Some dude on the internet said it worked for him, what's there not to trust?

Still looking to repair/switch out the middle button! Tried the cleaning method mentioned weeks ago & it did not work. This little button is toast! haha.
At this point I'm already searching for an organ donor :)

All I need is  "Switch Size :6*6*6.5mm 2 pin"  from a legit website that will sell 10 pieces.... not 1000 as a minimum lol

Thanks for the suggestions and links! The search continues.....

that is a very uncommon size.

i think you should search for "tactile push button" or "Tactile switch" + "radial type"

on mouser.com this should be findable.

but even with the filters aplied, there are thousands of varieties, so you have to check out their offerings and see if it fits.

i personally would try out the 5mm version, and maybee sold it a little bit higher, or use a spacer below, to get that 1.5mm back.

this one might work, and they sell this stuff in blisters where 100 pieces cost around 10 bucks.

for less they propably won´t even walk down the storage.

TBH, you'd probably be fine going with Ebay, Amazon, or AliExpress. They all have them in small packs and they're probably all coming from the same place anyway. This one even says "original" https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805277928603.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2usa4itemAdapt

Here's a two pack from a website that isn't Ebay or Amazon https://ausmodshop.com/products/kailh-silent-switch-7-3mm-2pcs

Some that are just a tiny bit taller but might still work https://electropeak.com/panasonic-square-micro-switch-for-mouse-middle-button

Different shape but you could make these work https://www.apem.com/idec-apem/en_US/PCB-switches/Tactile-Switches/MJTP-PHAP33-6mm-through-hole/c/MJTP_6mm_through hole?page=1

I came across a few shorter ones as well that you could just solder high as @Vice86 stated. There's people out there that would take a full size omron and just cut it down until it fits if they were in your situation, so you have a lot of options.

gl!
