Upon speccing him it looks like he had no recoil, and some other things to allow him to stay scoped in while moving and jumping. Top players like bunny can't even touch this kind of gameplay. Afterwards he switched to a Mp40 medic and played like a below average amateur, no headshots. Is there a legit way to do this or is it scripting? 1 Quote

Sniping to them is air, they breath it, they bleed it. And they are rashomon and suicidalmaniac. Legends! Or scripters, who the f knows Quote
razjee Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Once the fps is set to 71,43, you can easily play with a sniper rifle with no recoil. So one simple bind changing the fps value is enough, you can also add to it changing the mouse sensitivity value, m_pitch, and enjoy playing with minimal or no weapon recoil. (But this only works with a sniper rifle, single pistol). And jaymod is a mod for fun, so shooting is "easier" compared to etpro/etlegacy and most of the shots when jumping, etc. will hit the target. 1 Quote

Element' Posted January 5 Posted January 5 He’s a well known sniper. Used to play with me back in the old days. We used to just play on sniper servers. The way he plays is completely legal. We used to do jump shots on ETPub all the time.. It’s not hard. Hold binocs, jump, aim with binocs, and then switch over to your rifle and fire in the same spot. Sure there are a bunch of tweaks and stuff but when you’re good you’re good… Next time feel free to take a demo and post if you wish. We only ever take action when there’s conclusive evidence of cheating. 4 Quote

May I refer you to this discussion, some points have already been raised and solved: You'll find reasonable settings for you to lower your recoil (71 fps is the best value), my config has been approved by FA leaders (even supreme leader who teamviewed me). Short answer: there are no existing sniper scripts (zero recoil script), there are configs that allow advanced tweaking of sensitivity and m_pitch, that's about it. As for jumpsniping, it's an advanced technique, you don't stay scoped while jumping, you have to aim and fire within the time window allowed by the game (half a sec?) Thanking posters for the support - and the mention of SuicidalManiac brings joy to my heart, very old talented sniping buddy. Alas, Vanhaomena was the real deal. Play with default settings or else, it's too big an advantage. Fine. I hope you still play with the default crosshair, default sensitivity, default graphic settings, bloodsplatter, default fov, binocs on b, drawgun set to 1, no bind to selfkill, etc. Also, how do you define very low recoil? What threshold for minimal recoil can you possibly establish? Or you can't have more than a given sensitivity or a given m_pitch? Let's be serious and realistic. Configs allow for a lot of customization and freedom to alter your game up to a certain extent. Not everybody uses a config. Everybody should use one. My config stays within the reach of what the game allows you to do, I don't use any external program, again I don't use zero recoil settings (there are no settings for that), I use a config. I sent it to daredevil and other admins. Config was deemed fine (how could it not be, there can't be anything dodgy,, everything in a config is part of the game and part of what the developers allowed the players to have...)
