How are the other fps games dealing with damage when getting hit, is your screen shaking a lot in COD for example, because I agree, screen shake is annoying, and it's the cause of my many deaths in game.

Depends on the game. In the case of Call of Duty there had been flinching in the past (your crosshair and aim kicked upwards when you were shot, making hitting your targets hard) but in some later Call of Duty titles they did away with that. There also were perks available to reduce the amount of flinching. In Black Ops Cold War, e.g., flinching for aiming down sights is completely removed (your screen shakes but your accuracy doesn't take a hit when being shot at), while with hipfire you have still some minor and negligible amount of flinching.

Counter-Strike doesn't have any flinching but similar to Gears of War bullets have "stopping power", i.e. you get slowed down and are easier to hit if you are shot at. Quake and Unreal Tournament don't have flinching either but they have knock back which can mess up your aim when being hit (and makes you easier to hit because you get knocked back in a predictable pattern).

In general almost all shooters have some system in place that gives some extra reward to players who shot their opponent first, be it that their opponent's accuracy takes a hit, his gun kicks back, he gets slowed down or knocked back. Always imperative to get the first shot in, otherwise you are at a considerable disadvantage.

ET aiming is all strafe tracking and target switching, so if you are going to do an aim trainer make sure you match the playing style of ET

Bullet spread control is key, make sure you are using crouch or walk when shooting targets that are not shooting back or from long distance. Shoot three bullets and release, then shoot again. If you crouch mid fight you can also reset the bullet spread

Mouse movement also causes bullet spread if you are using a high sense then be careful of that.

Shoot them before they shoot you, knockback sends your aim wild on ET.

Use sprint when in close range fights, it makes you a harder target to hit.

Most of all, play smart, you can out play/aim most people if you think about your situation, when to hide and when to be agressive etc
