Cause i have been voting all the time and i see ,and others see that it doesnt work ,or someone who would work on it doesnt check those results ? There is several maps wich result is like -32 as Capuzzo,and there is more those kinda maps,i dont know im not specialist,but how hard is to change the maps ? Jaymod 1 have lot regulars who would be happy and more enjoyable maybe to get some new maps more often than once in 6 months . Maybe there is some option to update remove and add some new maps(old new maps). Like i visit jaymod 2 also,i see there more often different maps ,ok there is less players but some maps would fit jaymod 1 also. Thanks 1 Quote

I know its a hard server with brunch of dedicated players. Mainwhile i also have to see few maps go then be there. Anyhow the voting during match the admins can see what maps are be loved by players and what not. I think if i may speak for the staff members that they will change maps often as they try. Small disclaimer, I do not directly manage the jay1 rotation. Some people think I do cause I address and partake some of the map discussions for jay1. I merely test maps and relay my results. Voting system isn't 100% accurate. People who play capuzzo 30 times can have a vote every time they play it.. So there is potential for inaccuracy. Its merely there so we can have an idea on what maps are liked/disliked. Capuzzo won 2020 map of the year award on trackbase so clearly there is a fanbase for the map. I personally dislike it myself but often when it got removed, people wanted it back. If a map is rapidly (especially if its new to jay1) downvoted, it does get removed. I believe this was what happened to the 6flags map a year or two ago. I enjoyed it, too bad others didnt. Next. Maps need to be tested. What ran smoothly for people 10 years ago might not run smoothly today. And there are several factors that need to be considered. We cant just have the mindset "well it ran 10 years ago so it should be fine on jay1". Jay1 is a server unlike any other in ET. Our settings are different than any server in the game, FA or other community. We often have 27v27 during NA daytime/EU evenings. Some maps have "gamestate_max_char exceeded" error that cause users to crash/disconnect. Some factors we put in when looking at maps: Can it run smoothly on a fresh etconfig at consistently good fps. Will players have crash/disconnect issues such as before mentioned max_char exceeded Is it a stomp map? Like pure bottleneck that one team is facing pure misery for 30 minutes. Will it actually be fun and enjoyed on jay1. Will people actually play the map (cortex for example people like to push each other off high places and not play. Its babysitting duty as admin. we're volunteers, not paid babysitters) Are there misc scripting issues? There are other factors but those are the main ones that we look out for. Quite often we dont have the ability to fix some of these issues. And it's not from lack of knowledgeable community members. Trust me, I would love to just throw shit at a wall and hope it sticks. But unfortunately, Jay1 can't have it that way. We have to be more strict with testing for jay1 than jay2 cause recruiting is significantly more populated than jay2. 4 2 1 3 Quote

I would like to add and clarify a little I just end up adding whatever Cabal suggest as long as that map has no open issues and it passes Cabal testing. If anything goes wrong, I know whom to catch hehe ❤️ That being said, I believe Cabal and everyone reviews all feedback. As long as map is playable, we can go ahead and add it. One another which we are working on is, changing spawn time based on player selection. We have that on some other servers but we are planning to add it up for Jay1 as well. 3 1 Quote

Whenever I vote UP on a map that I had already upvoted, it tells me that I can only vote once. I will have to vote DOWN on a favorite map and see what the script tells me then. 😄 I didn't like Capuzzo at first, but it has grown on me since then. It can be frustrating, though.
