Would love to hear a fix. I get this all the time when joining a server. Usually I just hit reconnect once or twice and it lets me in.

I just chalked it up to being an old game on modern systems / internet, so I just kinda ignored it. 

 

Were you able to reconnect and let you in? or was it always giving you server connection timed out no matter how many times you reconnected?

@MaTt0 Think he got a new ISP, fiber at that.  Cable connections are so shotty because they give you horrible equipment, you don't actually get the speed you pay for, and everyone on your pipeline (neighbors/etc) effect your connection.
