Eddie Van Halen has been reported dead today, lost the battle to lung cancer. I am by no means a big fan of such music, and I surely can't fully appreciate a great guitar player, but one thing is certain, he was one of the greatest. And even though I was not a fan, he was a recognizable icon of sound entertainment. Just like with Kobe Bryant, we lost someone who was shaping culture, we lost great artist and an amazing performer, that was partaking in creating music as we know it now.

 

RIP "Guitar Hero" Eddie Van Halen, 1955-2020.

I just read this right now too on Rolling Stone Magazine online 😭 As a guitar player and someone who has played on stage many many MANY times this is definitely a rough loss to hear about. RIP EVH. He gets to join the super group with all the greats now.
