ravana Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Hi All, Was playing on the hardcore server with 6 humans and 6 bots. On one map i moved a player (nick Wacky Woo) to axis so each team had 3 humans each. This was done after 3 requests for balancing the teams. Next game after the game started, again the same happened as wacky woo moved to allies. Moved him/her a couple of times on to axis (after warning) and then after no response moved to spectator. Again the stubborn allies join. Then I kicked the player (wacky woo). Two other players NOFX and Snoopy*dog said admin abuse and where adamant that such team balancing does not occur on hardcore . If i do this team balancing on jaymod no 2, no one complains. Why on hardcore? Enlighten me!! Sikander Quote
Chuckun Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Hi there, I was there to witness some of what you're talking about, but I was afk for most of it though.. I didn't see that you did anything wrong. Even consulted the rules to be sure (no need really, I know them) - but found no fault in what you did. Teams were getting stacked up with humans vs bots and all you were doing was making the teams fair as one was getting owned, the other was prolifically dominating. I can back you up here, they were just whining because they didn't want to be on a 'losing' team.. You did things by the books. I'm a regular on hardcore and this is the first time I've heard of people shouting about admin abuse.. And the first time I've seen that snoopy dog on there too, so I think it was him.. I think I've played with whacky woo before and he seemed all right though.. I wouldn't worry mate, you did ask for team balancing, and they were the least ranked players there, and the only ones disobeying.. Chuckun Quote
Saizou Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Hardcore usually doesn't require !put while balancing the teams, it's far more common on Jaymod. From what you said you did right, the only way this would be abuse if you were on Allied team and you were trying to move someone else and not yourself (F|A people are always to move first). For me it's kind of a shady area when bots are around with few humans as you never know if they want to all stack up on one team vs bots, or if they want the bots off or they just pretend bots aren't there. In those situations I see how teams are and then play by the ear. You issued warns, followed by puts and after multiple puts issued kick. Seems alright, and if one team was getting rolled as Chuckun said, completely justified. Quote
sinA* <3 Padme*Amidala Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Well, i think hardcore is a little bit different then the other servers. and most ppl like to join the team with the best players. but if no one moves to axis, after a couple times asking, i think you did a good job, i would have done the same. you was fair, cuz you asked before you used your powers. ppl had enough time to even the teams. if they dont follow or dont wanna listen its up to a admin to make the decision. but i would like to know, why you only moved him? maybe if you would have moved someone else, he wouldnt have changed back to allies Quote
ravana Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 Choose the player at random. Well, i think hardcore is a little bit different then the other servers. and most ppl like to join the team with the best players. but if no one moves to axis, after a couple times asking, i think you did a good job, i would have done the same. you was fair, cuz you asked before you used your powers. ppl had enough time to even the teams. if they dont follow or dont wanna listen its up to a admin to make the decision. but i would like to know, why you only moved him? maybe if you would have moved someone else, he wouldnt have changed back to allies Quote
Chuckun Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Also, there were very few people to choose from.. He was the first randomly selected guy by sikander, then when he decided to be stubborn and disobey admin decisions, sikander merely re-enforced his decision. It was a legit decision IMO. Quote
Papito Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Why if the teams are uneven you move to others? Why wasn't yourself who moved to the other team, you're an admin you would be the example. Quote
ravana Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 Forgot to tell i was axis in the first map and second. Important detail . But what was amazing was Wacky Woo didn't respond....and as soon as i kicked, a torrent to admin abuse complains from NOFX and Snoopy*dog saying that they haven't seen such been done on hardcore. Therefore the post. Bit confused at that time if hardcore server rules where different. Now i know they are same. Why if the teams are uneven you move to others? Why wasn't yourself who moved to the other team, you're an admin you would be the example. Quote
sinA* <3 Padme*Amidala Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Maybe Wacky Woo didnt understand english? But i wouldnt worry so much about it. I played alot in hardcore server and to me its known there that ppl like to complain about 'admin abuse' very fast. Never have seen it that way in Etpub Quote
Papito Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Lol stars you never see that on pub cuz not all the time the teams are uneven, every 2 maps i shuffle, atleast i don't ask to any one move to other team, but if there's and trial or other member i suggest'em if they can move. Quote
*Kiba* Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 you did the right thing don't even listen to NOFX first he should know the rules by now he been around for some time and as for Snoopy*dog i don't even know who that is but if you are have that problem just move your self Quote
I3lessed Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 lol at people who stack against bots, IMO don't worry about it maps not rated and people who stack one team to play bots are noobs so go on the bots team and rage the people who were trying to stack. Quote
=FlA=Incom!ng* Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 NOFX has been kicked numerous times for being a troublemaker on HC anyway, you did what you had to do. Late night when less humans are on players often tend to rate against the bot team. Quote
GraveDigger Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 you did the right thing. always lead by example and move first then take whatever measures are necessary to maintain a fun & fair server. Quote
