Leader RedBaird Posted January 20, 2019 Leader Share Posted January 20, 2019 (edited) A full lunar eclipse of a "supermoon" will be visible tonight in the Western Hemisphere, including all of North & South America. North American and USA times : https://earthsky.org/tonight/supermoon-lunar-eclipse-january-20-21 Times for Rio de Janeiro https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/brazil/rio-de-janeiro Times for Santiago https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/chile/santiago The TimeAndDate eclipse page has a "Find Eclipses in Your City" on the right side of the page : https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/lunar/2019-january-21 "...parts of Europe and Africa will see part of or the entire eclipse in their predawn skies." NOT working right for me...Live Stream : https://www.timeanddate.com/live/ Here is a better one, from the Griffith Observatory, in Los Angales : Edited January 21, 2019 by RedBaird try to fix spacing 5
.KeLFOuTO!r.
Could see it this morning on my way to work, it was very nice ! (from Paris) Orange color and 2/3 hidden by Earth's shadow. And very huge compared to its usual size at this time. 💫 Edited January 21, 2019 by .KeLFOuTO!r.

RendeL
Saw it clear @ work. Was nice, took pics, but not good quality. When I got back home from work, the sunset was also amazing, sky was so bright red/purple/blue colours.

I kept checking back on the second Live-Feed site that I posted. If you run that Video now, then you can watch all 6 hours and 51 minutes of their feed. I saw an explanation of why Lunar Eclipses are so slow when compare to Solar Eclipses. I had never even thought of that!
Vanaraud
Was timed perfectly for me too. Started walking to bus station, moon was about 15% covered, arrived to bus station it was on 75%. All snowy and snow glistening on moon light. Too bad it went cloudy or the moon was black, didn´t see the full eclipse later on...
