look out connecting to F|A recruiting using serverlist / masterlist

I spotted a Fake =F|A= recruiting in the serverlist of ET  playercount 27/51
the Name is exactly the same if you connect to it you get a redirect message and that adress is simular to jay1 too minus a -

jay1.clan-fa.com:27960  is the official jay1 adress 

this redirect will ask you to redirect to jay1.clanfa.com:27960  so only the - is out the adress

it redirects to a other clan so make sure if you use the server / masterlist to connect to servers to not connect via this one or they will have you info ( ip mac guid )
so again this one is a FAKE so if any admin uses the server / masterlist to connect to servers be aware for this one.

I found that while the Jay1 Host in the US did not trigger 'proxy/fraud' warnings, ones in EU might do so, including our own jay3.clan-fa.com!  😮 (and another valid IP from TBS)

 

  Reveal hidden contents

 

A proxy-testing site says that the IP of that "jay1.clanfa.com" fake is 

  Quote

     Fraud Score    65 - Suspicious  
     Proxy/VPN Detected. This IP address appears to be a proxy connection.

I did the same testing with our jay1.clan-fa.com IP and the result from the Proxy-test is  

  Quote

      Fraud Score    0 - Low Risk 
     Clean IP - Not A Proxy/VPN. This IP address appears to be a normal connection

So it seems that there is something else going on, something different from a normal Hosted IP service, like all FA Servers use.

 

I wonder if the maintainer of the Master-List could be persuaded to delete a proxy-server IP with an obvious fraud intention???

Seems like hype clan doing it.

 

@sadFace - is the leader of hype clan.  If this continuous, I will be forced to release update on all servers, which will auto block IP of your servers for all the players played on our servers. You had faked our servers before and doing it again.

 

I wouldn't allow stealing the GUID of our players to harass them later.
