False, I start many of my stabbing, on jay1 or silent 1 with a throwing knife, to reduce the amount of health and get an easier kill. I don't need the poison to finish a corner enemy.

I use it for multiple thing, reloading. Reloading + spotting landmines (oasis and oil kombinat mostly). Sometimes when i'm getting in position and the target is far enough, less now since they removed venice (it's a shame, but what i'm gonna do). Damn, now I want to test the cg_zoomdefaultsniper 200! I wonder if it give you an advantage overall (reduce recoil but aiming upside down)? Finally the bug came back, but I found a quick fix, dont go on a server jaymod and after on a server silent mod... Yeah I will definitively try to install etlegacy again soon. loll Maybe 1 day i will do a review on the forum of the weirdest bug of the steam version, just for the laugh.?

Hi, Tonight i played on HC, and HC work on silent mod. And I have noticed than I can't use my vsay on this mod. For example, if I press "v", i get the menu for choosing 1 to 7 (or 8), after i choose for example "5", i can after choose "4" to say hello, but nothing happend when i do "v54", same with the other vsay. No text, and no sound. Vsay worked on Jaymod very well. My version of ET is from steam, so it's maybe the problem. Someone knows anything about this weird bug? Someone knows where the vsay setting are in the etconfig, maybe my steam version erase something (it does weird things since I started using it). Thank you.

That's an old habit. When I'm reloading i'm vulnerable and that's allow me to pre-aim my next target. I'm in a corridor, so with the binoc I can clearly see if someone is coming and be ready to fight, or on the contrary retreat. Sure I don't really need that, but it's easier to see who is attacking and especially when I have teamates in front of me. Anyway, I will try to stop until other admins decide if the binoc swap is a problem. But since i continue to do it sometimes because it's an old habit, i will start record all my session from now. And sorry if my tone was a little upset, I should have been flattered that you think I'm using an exploit!?

So, if I got this right, the issue is the supposed recoil reduction, not the fact that I switch between the binoculars and the scope? Because I tried your bug on jay2, because there is no one there, and I can't reproduce that "back fov" or the reduced recoil (the one from your last video). I even tried on a host game to check if it was jaymod who blocked that bug and didn't succeed to reproduce it. Maybe it's because I didn't touch the cg_zoomDefaultSniper. So if you want to prevent a possible utilisation of that reduce recoil bug, ok I will stop passing the bino to the scope. But i never used that bug. My recoil is normal for someone who is using the 60 fps setting. And it's allowed on FA, because it's here (on the FA forum) than i learn about that trick... And in the topic the admins said it was ok.

Hi, Today, Kiri spectated me and noticed that I was using a "bug exploit" that is apparently not allowed on the servers. Since I’ve been using this trick ever since I joined the FA server in 2011, I wanted to ask if it’s really forbidden. The exploit in question is: you use your binoculars and switch directly to the scoped weapon. I usually do it while reloading — instead of stopping the binocular animation, I switch straight to the scope animation. So, is this actually forbidden? If yes, is it also forbidden to use your binoculars while reloading — for example, to spot landmines? Thank you.

Don't worry, i read this topic and i thought that would be a fun experiment to debate about that idea. But the reality is I played on FA server for a long time and almost nothing change about that kind of stuff. Ppl have complaint about poison knives, panzer, mortar for a very long time and nothing ever change. That's the first time I notice the complaint about the rnade (sure there was complaints before, but compare to the poison/panzer/mortar, it's nothing). So I thought that would be fun to debate my idea. But that's not a problem at all. I changed my gameplay a long time ago to fit with the setting of the server. I help less my team, I still help alot, but I think of my fun first, for example I played less engi/medic to play more cvop, it's not optimal to help the team, but it's increase my fun. Aniway, if you didn't find fun debate about it, it's totally ok. And again don't worry, the only thing that can be change on FA server are the map rotation. And that's fine.

Sorry, I'm late for this topic. I think a way to solve the rnade problem is to buff the engineer class. I explain. The engi is the most valuable class in ET, but it's the most vulnerable class. We could add adren just for the engineer. That would nerf the rnade spam (you have to choose between adren and using your powerful rnade, so a tactical choice) and that would make more attractive to use the smg as an engi. Now in my opinion, we should change some of the engineer ability too, like for example the dyno. I don't know the current setting, but I'm supposing that the engi can drop a dyno with 60% of his energy bar. If we go with adren, let's change it for 80% (or something like that). Sure, there will be new problem by doing this change, every action has consequence. Here my pros & cons to this change : Pros : -A way to help the engineer class survive when they are bully by a more rambo class. -A more tactical choice (do you use your adren or use the rnade, or adren or planting dyno, ect). -Less spaming rnade, since there is an other option and you can more easily break that rnade/nade barrage with the adren. And so that's make the barrage more useless. Cons : -The creation of a new class, the rambo engi! Where the enemy team, risk to have to fight an army of rambo engi and have to respond with their own rambo engi... That could be fun... or less fun. (let's put it as a con). -For certain map like oil kombinat, it would be very hard to break the dyno defense set by allies with an adren engi. -Some engi stopping playing the objective because it's more fun to frag with adren. -Admin forced for the next 6 months to repeat in the chat, twice each map, that the engineer is not cheating. I'm sure I'm forgetting pros & cons. And I'm sure, to make this possible, we have to nerf other abilities for the engineer, like repairing stuff. But that's my suggestion.

I quit et because of exagerate radius splash panzer, mortar and poison knife. I was regular for at least 5 years. So did what you want, but stop with regular, other regular leave about that and find an other game without this irritate thing.

I try it, yes it work well, but i don't know if F|A allow this. Boki and other admin have command for ask balance team. So does that hide their call?
