Mousepad

Thanks guys if you took the time to take a look at this topic.. :)

My issue is this one.. I'm looking to buy since some weeks now a new mousepad instead of my steelseries full of dust because i have no use with this one (not enough slippery) and the attaché-case in plastic I have cutted and sticked on my table (was the most slippery I found at home) starts to make me crazy.. I'm a bit tired to change it each time it's worn out and to make a new one (lol even my wife would like I buy one to stop to cut everything at house)..  :P

Now I would like to buy a mousepad with a surface in aluminium.. I was looking for a raser (invicta, destructor2 or manticor)..The "MADCATZ Glide 9" looked good to me but some hesitations.. So, any opinion or any experience with this one? Opinions about razer's products?

Thanks!! Annibal.

Yes, the razer pads I used were always good and durable, but had only the cloth pads. Had a Steelseries SX, that's aluminium too and liked it for the time it lasted, very little friction but you will notice every single grain of dust on this type of pads :)

I was asking if you have different mouse-pads for general computer work and and another for gaming.  You could have different mouse and pad sets for work and play.

Yea I have some of pads for basic use but don't use them, only using pads for gaming since they also are perfect for work, so the others have no use.. I took the habit to make pads myself but I'm lazy now..

I already have the Qck and have to say don't fit my game style.. It is and will be probably my last cloth pad.. Not sufficiently sliding for me.. I use a very low sensi (atm btw 0.42/0.575) and need a minimum resistance/friction..

Tired to hesitate and since all those aluminium products seem to be equal, with a Razer Taipan I have ordered this mouse pad: Mionix Ensis 320 Luna.

I will test and see if I was wrong to choose this mousepad (swedish brand unknown for me so maybe a good surprise) and this mouse.. Let's hope they will be compatible and work perfectly together..

Ok received all this yesterday morning..

So first, I have to say this mousepad is awsome.. Never expected this high quality from an unknown brand for me.. Very sliding, so movements very fast but allowing to track in a extremely receptive way, none prob of reflectivity or response.. 20 euros cheaper than a Razer or Steelseries but probably equal or better than these products..

Same about the mouse.. A large range of settings, like set the captor in function of the kind of mousepad used, for the dpi, all boutons settable easily with a plenty of options, light weight, very efficient with those 2 captors, efficient gripp.. The only negative thing to say for me is the size of this mouse.. A littl bit smaller than the Deathadder and some gaming mice I used but not a big prob..

  • 3 weeks later...

I also checked out mionix stuff, but since i go with imperator i played it safe and got myself a goliathus. Cant saya bad word not even 1. I have played CS for over 9 years, some competitive and some dont and believe me i know something about mices and mouse pads. I myself use cloth pads, they are silent and they are fairly slick nonetheless. And i am a low sense user so they give me the control what i need.

Even though it's not a aluminium surface it's one of the best I've had, there are two of these on the market I think, the speed and the control one, and even though

I have the "speed" one, it still has the control like no other. The surface I'm talking about is the Razer Goliathus. It's big, plus it sticks where you put it, so it won't slip.
