EPIC FAIL!: FoxNews cites an Onion article as real news

Recommended Posts

And so another news organization falls victim to The Onion News Network

FoxNation.com i'm guessing is an extra limb of Fox News that got to excited over an article Onion posted depicting Obama in a defeated manner. Fox already took it down, but not before someone took this screenie.

Yes, the Fox Nation editors were apparently so enamored with an Onion piece from today entitled "Frustrated Obama Sends Nation Rambling 75,000-Word E-Mail" that they reposted the first two paragraphs in their culture section with nary a sign as to its fictional nature. The only clue that this wasn't real (besides a quick peek at your inbox to confirm that Barack Obama hasn't been emailing you) was a link at the bottom instructing readers to go to TheOnion.com for the real story. This tiny link was, unfortunately, not enough for the vast majority of FN readers. At least, that's the way it seems from the comments section.

at least they cited a new organization that's just as, if not more, trustworthy than itself

Luckily we've got legit, unbiased news organizations like MSNBC, ABC, AP, CBC and Aljazeera.

No wait..they're full of shit too.

On a high note...this article surfaced to show the good intentions of Al Qaeda

I would say that Aljazeera is the better one, out of all the others.

You think this is bad?

Today Tonight broadcast that they believe 75% of children in Australia are drug dealers, and, get this, they discovered that murder is on the increase in our society because...

they google searched the word "murder" and there were 55 million hits. Lol
