Rainbow Six Siege cheaters, beware. Ubisoft has announced that it is bolstering its efforts to reduce instances of cheating in the team-based tactical shooter by making changes to its algorithms. As explained in the game's forums, Ubisoft will expand its criteria to seek out possible cheaters. Anyone identified as a cheat will get yanked from the match--but the punishment doesn't end there. "In order to increase our efforts to counter cheating in Rainbow Six Siege, we will be expanding our criteria to identify potential cheaters," Ubisoft explained. "If identified as a potential cheater, that player will be immediately removed from the game and receive a temporary suspension." Ubisoft has been taking aim at Rainbow Six Siege cheaters for some time now. Most recently, the developer deployed a patch earlier this month that focused on cheating, exploits, and spawn-killing. In other news about Rainbow Six Siege, the game's upcoming expansions will reportedly be themed around operators from the United States, Brazil, and Japan. Ubisoft is teasing a new game announcement by streaming a mysterious video of a cave painting depicting a man holding a bow in one hand and a large spear in the other. The embers of a fire can be seen flitting in front of the image. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAQmt-60nUY In addition to this, eerie music, the sounds of growling beasts, and ritualistic chanting can be heard in the background. There is also what sounds like normal speech, but there's a layered echo effect on the audio, which makes it difficult to make out what's being said. The video is slowly zooming out to reveal more of the painting, so keep an eye on it. It is unclear what this project may be, but the most obvious guess would be a new entry in the Far Cry series, which has prominently featured both hunting gameplay and the bow and arrow weapon. The video description also says "survival is timeless" and survival has been a core theme of the Far Cry franchise. In November 2014, Ubisoft addressed whether it will do a spin-off for Far Cry 4 akin to Far Cry 3's 80's action movies inspired Blood Dragon. Alex Hutchinson, creative director at Ubisoft Montreal, indicated while Blood Dragon 2 wasn't on the cards, it would consider another unique setting to spin-off into. "That's was what was cool about [blood Dragon], it was surprising," he said. "It was a great use of the Far Cry 3 base, and had an awesome soundtrack. But no, you won't get another one of those. But hopefully we'll be able to surprise you with something just as much." The teaser may be related to this new spin-off. Of course, it could also be a brand new property, or something tied to For Honor, an action game that pits warriors from different civilizations against each other. In February 2015, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said the Far Cry would be one of the company's tentpole franchises for years to come. "The Far Cry franchise is here for the long-run and is a stronger contender in the shooter genre," he said during a conference call. According to Guillemot, Far Cry 4 outperformed expectations for Ubisoft and interest in the game was the strongest in franchise history. The game has sold substantially more than Far Cry 3. The open-world shooter managed strong sales despite launching on the same date as other high-profile blockbusters such as Dragon Age: Inquisition and Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Heya Folks! I've finally managed to afford a copy of Watch_Dogs, which was a much anticipated game, launched in May 2014. Granted, because I have purchased it 4 months from it's release, many bugs have been fixed, and that might add bias to the review. This is a review of the Deluxe version, which adds some special DLC content. This is a very unique game. It's action, FPS, Open-World... all things we've seen before. But this is the first game where you can hack other people, and with a seamless multiplayer element to it as well. It also includes many mini-games, which include driving, gambling, drinking, hacking, etc. I would not hesitate to say that this is what Saints Row IV should've been, despite the fact that I love that game as well. There are two versions of the game available for download. The standard edition costs $59.99 USD, the deluxe edition costs $69.99. I would not expect a price-drop for awhile because of the high demand for the game. Watch_Dogs is set in Chicago, IL, playing as one Aiden Pierce where everything is connected via a central computer system, known as ctOS (CenTral Operating System). This includes cell phones, traffic lights, routers, cars, etc. The plot starts off dramatically, where the protagonist's family is killed in a horrible accident that was set to happen due to Pierce's notoriety. Using the ctOS as the primary weapon, having Intel on every citizen and traveler in the city, you embark to get justice as well as control the corruption of the city. Watch_Dogs is known for being one of the most graphically intensive games at the moment, with lofty minimum system requirements that state a SLI-ready card to play the game... but I've found this is not the case, and I will write my own "minimum system requirements". But do not fear, even at the "Low" settings, the graphics blow many other games' high setting out of the water. Processor: 2.4 GHz Quad Core processor (AMD Athlon II x4 series, Intel Core2Quad minimum) Graphics: AMD Radeon HD6xxx or above (Sorry, do not know NVidia equal), 1GB GDDR3 video memory. Memory: Suggested is 6GB, I say 8GB to avoid any disk caching, and the ability to keep applications running in the background. Pros: Graphics, Long Gameplay time, featuring over 9 "acts", with 10 or so missions per act. Mini-games, and ctOS crime control offer hours of entertainment even while not on the campaign. Realistic shooting, ie shooting someone in the leg will slow them down, not kill them, etc. Physics system is pretty realistic. Graphics are amazing Cons: Driving is *alright*, but definitely more fun over realism. But then again, this isn't a racing simulator, names of the cars do not appear when you get in them, and I have yet to be able to blow up a car. You can make smoke pour out, but that's about it. My rating is an 8.5/10 with the 1.5 deduction coming from the cars. I would certainly recommend this game if you are interested in strategic gameplay, with fast paced action, and an intriguing story.
