Are there any rules or guidlines for rushing?

I am not here to complain just understand.

 

First time I rushed I did not kow I was doing, it. I had heard the rull but did not understand.

 

The second time I was kicked of rushing. So that lead me to the forums to search for

what is rushing?

 

The only thing I could come up with was never go for the obj. is that correct?

or only go for the obj to open the map and don't compleate it. is that correct?

Welcome to our forums. Only rule is never rush the map! Players like to enjoy the map, so if you rush it in 5 mins all are like wtf! !restart !restart... but if you complete after 40% time it's fine!

Rushing is considered when you end the map before 40% of the total map time has elapsed. So on 30 minutes maps it's a rush if you end it before there's 18 minutes left, on 15 minutes map it's rush if you end before there's 9 minutes left and so on. So you can do all of the objectives except for the final one which ends the map.

That goes for all servers except for Hardcore server where you can end the map whenever you want.

Welcome! We have no rush rule on our HARDCORE server so if you want to rush you can play there. I just thought I would let you know its allowed there :)

Add our Etpro too. There is no rushing rule on it. :)

Oh, so it's legal after 40% passed? I thought an admin had told me that it was rush until less than 40% remaining once and I'd been passing that along. The !rush command is slightly vague on describing that.

you know i think for the !rush command it should have that rule on it not just don't rush map ect ect i pettier sure everyone here has seen it more then one time lol

something like this

 

!rush rushing is not allowed do not end map before 40% of the time is up or you may be warned or kicked or even banned it is up to the admin at head

 

 

hard core lol i think that would work better then what they say now

 

it put the point out there and last people know what well happen to them if they rushed

I need some time. I need to add the mod on server so obj will be auto disabled for first 40% of time.

 

Been busy lately learning something new.

i so what to see this et fight et fight et fight ssshh i think we should have a clan fight for fun like a scrim or something or we can go 1 on 1 or 2 on 2 or ect put leader vs leader and co leader vs leader and so on be some good fun and should problem do it 2 or 3 days have like a set time for them and all we do have a pro sever now so that would be a good place for it what do you think guys

One thing that bothers me about the map-rush rule is that people think they dont have to defend at all and leave it to the admins to do the defending for them.. as in calling out against map rushers. Teams start to think since admins are there saying dont rush, that they do NOT even need to TRY and do any defense.

The team on attack is going to be trying to get ahead from the very start.. so you can see how this will become a potential FAIL.

 

What I would like to know is.. when should an admin jump in? I mean if the team is just blatantly NOT defending and someone decides to go for the objective.. why should it be up to the admins ( or spectator admins ) to BE the defense?

The 'XP will be reset' threat is useless because well.. Ive yet to see anyone have their XP reset because of a rush..so perhaps its just not being taken seriously at all.

 

Point is.. I dont WANT to keep stopping map rushers when a team on defense doesnt even try. Could use some advice here.

If I may insert my opinion here... When a rule is put down, admins should be prepared to enforce it. The issue of players taking this for granted is annoying indeed, but a predictable consequence for creating such a rule. Having a no rush rule gives players some sense of security that they can just go out and charge for the first 40% without worrying about some person ending the map early. That is their idea of fun, which was the intent of the rule from my understanding.

 

Although I can see where your coming from, if that rule weren't there, I can't really imagine a much more impressive defense. Just more whines about rushing really.
