esempio

tasso di 34.000-90.000

cl_maxpackets da 30 a 100

cl_timenudge da 0 a -50

Credo che non è una cattiva idea

I hope that my request is analyzed at + soon, by competent administrators, waiting for an answer I extend my best regards to all the staff

- default maxpackets are set according the network type selected while creating the profile during the install. And the latter include 15 maxpackets choice.

-rate can be set from 25000 and not necessary 34000. Default being 32000 with autorate enabled on our servers.

-timenudge between -50 and +50.. even though engine affects only between -30/+30 in reality. So higher or lower than these 2 values is pure placebo.

ok I have the wrong variables, but the question was, you can add this information to the TV plug to the server or during the warmup? in order to inform the players, how you should set your client?

I want to get everyone's attention, to somekind of a problem. Since several weeks, I have noticed that many players have made a habit of playing with cl_maxpackets 15. Before didn't see many player with this setting (Mario excluded), lately instead much more use it.
Some are convinced that these players are noobs, and have just installed the game, instead I say they are players who know the settings, which cl_maxpacekts 15, it is because it has changed manually, the default is 30 if I remember correctly.

There are players who respond to admin request to change, politely, their settings.
Others who don't even answer, and if you move them spectators,
they go back to play, without giving any importance to what the admin requested.

-------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------

Now that I have explained my problem, here this topic, I just want to add my opinion.
I noticed that the server after a few minutes, Advertising
some stuff such as:
This server running 2.2.0 jaymod

you could add an informational message

In order to explain the most common settings, the server us we could do for example:

rate of 34000-90000
cl_maxpackets from 30 to 100
cl_timenudge 0 to -50

I think that is not a bad idea.

Having 15 maxpackets can be a Jaymod bug, That's where it usually comes from.

Some players use the setting to be less hittable.  It makes connection less good

so server has trouble telling where They are.  When I see 15 or zero maxpackets,

I private message the player while spectating him...When They are not fighting,

I tell them: "You have 15 maxpackets set, It's a Jaymod bug".

Most will ask how to change it.  Some ask: "What does it do"?

I don't !putteam spec players that ignore Me.

If you feel a player is abusing this gamecvar setting, Really kicking ass,

Maybe a Forum: Trouble Player post is needed.  Then Leaders can decide what to do.

Most players that fix the bug have Their ping lower up to 30 milliseconds and

the game is much smoother...Having zero maxpackets is a really stubborn bug.

It seems to stay after entering maxpacket command.

What They should do is: /reconnect.  About the commands:

Setting a cvar open(without value) will show the default.  Example: /cl_maxpackets [Enter]

Using set will change the setting temporarily in memory.  Example /set cl_maxpackets [Enter]

The set is used by the game automatically.  When game is stopped, settings are saved...

But where the settings are saved, In etconfig.cfg, seta is present.

seta will override set, so fixing a setting without using seta may not save permanently.

Example: /cl_maxpackets 30 [Enter] will change it ingame, but it may be back to

15 maxpackets when game starts again...Use: /seta cl_maxpackets 30.

About 100 maxpackets: If 100 per Second is set, The Internet packets are smaller.

Smaller packets get delivered faster...Game gets what it needs...

So reactions to keyboard input is noticably faster!  With Jaymod, Always use 100 maxpackets.

Except if ping is over 200.  They connection lags some...

About gamerate: When You install Enemy Territory and start the game, You get a popup

asking You to enter a gamename and other settings.  If You don't set: Connection > LAN,

rate will be 5000(5 KB/Second).  Even if You Fix rate setting playing in a mod with

/seta rate 25000(default),  When new map starts, Rate may be back to 5000.

This is because in profiles folder of etmain, etconfig.cfg has: seta rate 5000.

If Player has low gamerate, I tell Them and ask Them to /seta rate 34000, Or Set:

Connection in Options, System to LAN.  When new map starts, If They have 5000 rate again,

I ask Them to edit: seta rate in etconfig.cfg of etmain and jaymod folders.

I am aware of these little problems, I have my solution

open etconfig of etmain folder and try
Silk rate "5000" change - such as 34000, save and close

open etconfig of jaymod folder and try
Silk rate "5000" change - eg 34000
Silk cg_savedRate search "5000" change - eg 34000
try silk cg_autoRate "1" to change it and put it to zero

save and close the etconfig

P.S.

I never use the et profile does not create any profile
It just also creates problems in the audio

I install, I copy my cfg in etmain and after that I went into a server / exec lenovo

and the settings are always saved by

A lot do take advantage of the connection settings as lenova says. Where do you draw the line with something like this? I for one can tell the difference in a player using 30 or 100 maxpackets and many times a great player will set them to 30 and will be noticeably harder to hit and do so for that reason.

I can say with 20 years of experience multiplayer, which is absurd that players who have the table from 10 to 30

use maxpaxckets 30 and timenudge

if the ping is low you have to make the most of your connection

using maxpackets 100 and timenudge 0

I do not say the names of people, which had a golden connection using negative timenudge and maxpackets 30

I will if I put timenudge 0 pingo on JA3 100 and 120 in the evening, I use it just because I want to still use maxpackets 100.

I tried to use 30 but I do not like, shoot too slow

Obviously if the ping is low, and using 100 packets the connection will be clean, but in addition to shoot well, the other players, manage to shoot well, in this we see the difference between a PRO player and one n o o b
