Lenovo
If You write a console command open..."without value", It will show ET's default value. I believe /com_hunkmegs is 56( I always use "192" ) and 128 for com_zonemegs. com_zonemegs what it refers to?
Shana
com_zonemegs what it refers to? com_hunkMegs 56 amount of memory (MB) assign to the hunk com_soundMegs 24 sets the amount of memory (MB) to allocate for loaded sound files com_zoneMegs 24 amount of RAM to allocate to map and texture loading Those are default values. And for today's maps you don't need more than 256 128 128 values. Even Distillery fits in that ram usage.

Shana
summing com_hunkmegs 256 com_soundmegs 128 com_zonemegs 128 did I get it right? Yes. Reason for soundmegs 128 is just in case for big sound packs(vsays and other custom stuff).
P4TR1OT
My settingsCom_hunkmegs 256Com_soundmegs 128Com_zonemegs 128 This game is old, so the ram in com_hunkmegs is enough 192 or 256 although we have pc with 8 or 16 gb of ram Edited February 4, 2017 by P4TR1OT
Buckwild
This webpage for Splashdamage Forums explains hunk, zone and soundMegs: https://forums.splashdamage.com/t/com-hunkmegs-com-zonemegs-settings/139251 I found that My settings in autoexec.cfg were not loading ingame... You should add +set com_hunkMegs “192” +set com_zoneMegs “32” +set com_soundMegs “48” to ET shortcut in Properties...Then They will load... The most hunkmegs I've needed for ET Client on Home Server is 128(Den of Lions). Edited November 1, 2019 by Buckwild
