Platonic Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Here is the whole Dan Dare collection. I got them all : Each cost me about $20 ten years ago. Now most of them are already out of print and some cost more than $1000 (up to $3000). Great investment To show you I'm not kidding, check the prices on Amazon : https://www.amazon.com/Dan-Dare-Pilot-Future-Oct-01-04/dp/B005M95HQG/ https://www.amazon.com/Classic-Dan-Dare-Phantom-2009-06-09/dp/B01F9GDR2M https://www.amazon.com/Classic-Dan-Dare-Marooned-Hardcover/dp/B00EBYF8XK Don't know what the exact difference may be, I expect it's a hardcover-softcover thing or first print or something, not an expert. Either way, people who still wanna buy the book, I suggest buying it in the uk and donating the rest to FA https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dan-Dare-Pilot-Future-Classic/dp/1840238410 Quote

CheepHeep Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Choose the right book. And you become rich. Choose the wrong book. And you learn how to incubate eggs.......I guess i chose the wrong book. But seriously? In 10 years, the prices have sky rocketed.......HOW? Quote
Alphaloki Posted February 6, 2017 Author Posted February 6, 2017 But seriously? In 10 years, the prices have sky rocketed.......HOW? These comics were first printed in the UK mag Eagle back in the 40s and 50s. They are beautiful and fully painted. It's the first time the collected works are printed in a hardback collection so some people are ready to pay a lot of money because of the nostalgia factor. These people are pretty old so they have enough money to afford it. 1 Quote
