BTW, is that fruit supposed to be sexually suggestive? #5 the pass key(literal translation to english from my language, if you know the right word, please tell me), the red one is used in a normal design to allow or deny the flow of water in order to be used, here it is used the other way around, a total nonsense Quote

There are three valves ("pass keys") in that picture. Two are used for the hot and cold water to the faucets above. (Actually, a "faucet" is another kind of valve, but is only used for where water comes out.) The red valve, on the drain pipe, is ??? "total nonsense" The only reason that I can think of it being used like that is if they sometimes get "backflow" from the sewer system. Maybe they have the same valves in their bathroom, for the tub, the sink and the Toilet? Quote

Maybe they have the same valves in their bathroom, for the tub, the sink and the Toilet? thanks for the names : ). the backflow possiblility seems quite odd, assuming that there is another pipe outside the picture, by only looking at the height you are sending a stream from a high level to a lower one (sink to toilet for example) or the other way around (from the toilet to the shower for example), in that case you would have almost no pressure and would be wasting the 2 other pipes. in the case that there is no other pipe outside the picture, and you are using it in the way of the first example, the valve on the drain pipe is irrelevant, you would always have it open.
