Elaborate please? a basic forum... similar to something like http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/forumdisplay.php?f=175 only without the fancy colorings and sidebars... IPB (Paid forums. 150$ upfront + Hosting + add ons charge i.e. 50 to 65$/each. It cost us 150 + 65 + 50 + 40$ one time fee and then every 6 month 30$ renewal fees and every month 60$ for dedicated machine to run forums.) http://www.invisionpower.com/ Fearless Assassins uses IPB. 2. vBulletin (Don't recommend this because of many reasons. You might need to see bitching saga on their forums for their release of version 4.0 ) http://www.vbulletin.com/ 3. phpBB ( We used it before and it's good one and it's FREE) http://www.phpbb.com/ 4. SMF ( I personally don't recommend this one ) http://www.simplemachines.org/ In short if you have money use IPB or else phpBB3. If you never plan to keep it long or if you will never need the database of topics/post which people make on forums feel free to use forumotion.
