AbsoluteZer0 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I'm a passionate student of history, and I am often to be found in the late hours watching old film-reel and archive footage of the defining conflict of the 20th century, the war about which our favorite FPS is designed. It's wonderful to play tactically and to play for fun, but it's also worth remembering that we are enacting living history. I mean, c'mon, Beer Run totally happened, right?! My father's father flew in Europe, and my mother's father went island-hopping in the Pacific. I am proud and grateful to spend some of my free time playing at a game that at least pays homage to their trials and the sacrifice of millions in the cause of freedom. As to the current state of affairs, well, we're free to do as they tell us. As soon as Regan was in office, freedom pretty much gasped its last. Please note I am referring to Don Regan, the Merrill-Lynch CEO who bought the Presidency in 1980, and was awarded Ronald Reagan as his ventriloquism dummy. Quote

We could not particpate in benefits at the end with no thanks for effort. Our hereos were cursed and tend to be foregone. Unfortunately The Stalin's smile was much profitable than our large particpation: monte cassino, tobruk, battle for england and so on so on(...) so many battle places(...) Basicly no other nation than mine can feels taste of freedome, because it was taken several times. Even if '45 - '89 Poland was on the map but hardly improve freedom. But even this happend I am happy I live in country were heroes born. I wonder and some historics claimed to be it possible come what would happen if only soviet russia not attacked backs (knife in backs). They said that it would be possible to win with germans. Hitler wasn't proud of military parade in Warsaw city cuz it taken him more than one month. And least but not last Please type on youtube "Sabaton 40:1" (it is Swedish havymetal group) They are quite popular band in Poland - and song is about one event from september campaign '39 and ofcourse about Polish soldiers. 2 Quote

Cortex would absolutely get my vote, and I like all the suggestions so far! Wasn't there a murderball map too, or am I remembering Half-Life Deathmatch? Piotr: I am the first to salute the sacrifices of the less-credited nations and heroes! Poland, you're right, was simply in the meat grinder between Hitler and Stalin, who first agreed on how to split it up and ravaged the country soon after. The Anglo-American Allies did nothing to stop Stalin in his murder of the political opposition in Poland, and it is a black chapter in the War. Pozdrawiam Cię! (I hope that's right) 2 Quote

A huge thank you to all =F|A= and friends who supported my application and who generally make this a community and set of servers worth being excited about. I am honored to be a part of the family! In personal news, my better half and I are heading out- moving the family to greener pastures and better college basketball- in a month or two.
