Sounds like you got the old switcheroo.

 

Control panel > Uninstall a Program - Look for anything new (as of today) that you don't recognize. Uninstall it.

 

After that, if you know how, start the pc in safe mode. Run super anti spyware. It should clean it up.

 

Then you can restart and should be fine.

I ran Malwarebytes and it got rid of those programs and I seem to be okay now.

 

Got to go back to a better AV program.

I actually had to run Malwarebytes® to get rid of everything.  I have SAS and it didn't get rid of it.

 

I also bought the premium version of Malwarebytes®.  Because the little bastards went over my network and

infected my wife's computer.

 

I will upgrade my AV back to Bitdefender®.  It stopped all this stuff.

I hate malware period!!! I'm glad you got that fixed!   Malware bytes just rocks, I got that too.

 

But I use Lighthouse 5 to use for my RAW files to edit.

I tested the download of Gimp again today and Malwarebytes stopped it cold.  So at least I know that's working.

 

But I wish I had Gimp.  It was so much better than PS.
