Heretic121 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 1) Where possible try to use the language of the topic with a translation underneath. This will help with getting the learners used to reading the language they're trying to learn. Come on, guys I'm struggling to piece together what you're saying lol Quote

Heretic121 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 So, let me get this right; y = and yo = I preguntas = questions? Is that singular or plural? Or does it not matter? 1 Quote
nani* Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Podíais estar mi compañeros en español? Ermm... sorry what u mean? Yo entiendo mucho pero cuando quiero hablar, mi español es no bueno Just one correction, sentence follows this order: 1.adverb, 2.verb, 3.adjective - no es bueno. nani* Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 So, let me get this right; y = and yo = I preguntas = questions? Is that singular or plural? Or does it not matter? Plural, yes it does matter when you want to distinguish one from some or many. Quote
Maximo Decimo Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 So, let me get this right; y = and yo = I preguntas = questions? Is that singular or plural? Or does it not matter? Correct. The conjunction "and" always is written "y" in spanish. ALWAYS. Personal pronous "yo" is written "i" About singular and plural, the general rule is add the letter "S", "AS" or "ES" to a word to change it from singular to plural. Quote
Papito Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Sometimes in spanish you can recognize a word from plural or singular just for the "S", by example: Fotos = Photos Foto = Photo The 's' makes it plural, but not all the time this rule apply, example: Soles from Sol = Suns / Sun Árboles from Árbol = Trees / Tree You can see that the spanish words end with a consonant needs an 'es', I hope this can help you.
