So i only do shorter version of my orginal post idea! Wow i think that was error and PIT not get back as much they gave New contracts http://www.capgeek.com/index.php Biggest surprise was see how little was Gaborik new cap hit © I was so happy when i hear that Kimmo Timonen sign new contract. I so hope to see him in Wild uniform but im happy he continue his career. Contract was very small but that was his way to help team to get better team. So tomorrow starts free agent market. I was plan to start better topic but because i was busy last week and in weekend i get tooth inflame and fever i only post players who i hope Wild Sign. I add only Free agents in list. I think my team need 1-2 Forward and 1-2 Defender Forwards top 5 1. Jussi Jokinen. (LW) Its my first choice and my biggest free agent wish. I will be very happy if we get Jokinen. It will be feel like important stanley cup playoffs win when you get player who you waited to join you team so long and who is one of favorite players. 2. Saku Koivu © We not need center in our team so much as winger but i love Saku Koivu. He is my biggest idol in NHL at the moment (when Niittymäki retired and Nummelin play in Europe) Big leader who not decided yet if he continue his career. I will be so so happy if i can see him in Wild and so so happy too if he decided go play in Montreal. Thats why he is number two spot in my list, because i hope more that he go to Montreal and retired his career there. 3. Zenon Konopka © he is hero of me. Big idol for me. Old Wild Player 4. Ales Hemsky (RW) he is good player and can help us a lot. Not see him often but his stats in career are very good 5. Mike Cammalleri (LW) not know him so well but always get good stats where he ever play. I think he stay in Calgary + Brad Richards is very good player and if he want play in winger i be happy to see him in my team. + Jarome Iginla Not know him well but lately i hear that he talk with Wild. I can accept him to my team. Will be good addition to our club. But not my first wish. Who i not want - Thomas Vanek I not like him. He is too irregular - Matt Moulson not so good when he came in our team in trade deadline. Was disappointment for me - Milan Michalek too irregular Defenders top 5 In first i must say that defender markets are very poor. No (very)good defenders in free now but we need at least one good defender and i hope to see some trade. In forwards we not need trade because there is good free agents and we have decent forwards. 1. Nick Schultz i know that he is not best free agent defender. But i saw him a lot when he played in Wild before and i like him a lot. Plus we need good defending defender 2. Andrej Meszaros Know him well when he played in Tampa bay sametime as my biggest Idol Niittymäki and watched him too when he played in Philadelphia. He is little bit irregular. He can play very good season or poor season. But still we can get good value for him and he can play great season after not so good season. 3. Sami Salo old Veteran but he can give us good second pair with Scandella. I know him well and only big injury history drop him to 3rd place in my list.Will be very good addition in our powerplay and he has big shot 4. Dan Boyle old veteran but he can give us good second pair with Scandella. But Boyle must be ready to take 2-3 milj deal. Not know him so well because saw only couple game when he played SJ with Niittymäki. 5. Clayton Stoner. I must take him to my list. He is Wild player but free agent at the moment. I really really hope that we re-sign him. We need someone who can defence our players. Who i not want/wish - Matt Niskanen too big chance that he is only one season star. He was number one defender because PIT has so many injuries. After Wild told that Harding and Bäcström both are healty when next season start, i not want that we take goalies in free agent market. So my biggest wish in goalie situation is that we keep our current goalies Bäckström and Harding. They both are good goalies who can win Cup for us and Vezina too. So this is my dream team for next season (added only free agents, ofcourse if i can make my all time dream team i take a lot different players example Hartnell, Timonen, Couturier and St. Louis) I underline free agents J. I saw Parenteau a lot this season when Colorado played against Wild in playoffs. Parenteau can be your team top 5 forward. Parenteau can be your team top 5 forward. I like Briere a lot and even that he has couple hard season after so many injuries i believe he can play good season too. But so many injuries what Briere suffer in his career it affect his games ofcourse. Winner Montreal i dont see parenteau a lot but i think he is a good kids...more i want to play at montreal....little bit sad for briere but he is too old ...i think montreal win this trade............ But couple what i just saw in NHL.com St. Louis Blues sign Paul Stastny Dallas get Jason Spezza on trade with Ottawa Montreal trade Josh Gorges to Buffalo i will send more big free agents move tomorrow. But now when we get him i can give him chance. He has good point and goal history in past. I was happy to see that he contract was only 3 year and 6,5 milj dollar so not so risk contract what i was fear. So i can accept his new contract and i must say that we get him for good price. Wild not get any of my wishes at the moment. But Konopka and Koivu is still free. I was happy that we not take Niskanen because he played only one good season. I appreciate what Vanek can give to my team. Now i take him to my team without any prejudice. Biggest disappointment was that Calgary take Jonas Hiller. I think it was big mistake. They give him big salary even that Rämö is better goalie. I like Rämö a lot and i think he is future goalie of Calgary. I think that they will trade Rämö now when they get Hiller because they want give game time to Ortio too. Top 5 include only contract what made 1 july or after that Top5 Very good contracts (best salary cap hit for his potential + possible key player on his new team) Brad Richards (CHI) salary only 2 milj Leo Komarov (TOR) one of my favorite players. Good contract (not too big salary hit for his potential + possible important or key player on his new team) Thomas Vanek (MIN) 6,5 milj its second most of free agent players but he has big potential and contract is not too long Jarome Iginla (COL) 5,3 milj contract and he can be point per game player Ales Hemsky (DAL) 4,0 Milj Is very good price and he can be player who make post point of team. He is top 6 player on his team Ryan Miller (VAN) 6,0 milj is a lot when he almost lost his starter role last year but he can give alot for Vancouver. But he is risk player in my eyes. Mathieu Perreault (WPG) 3,0 and 3 year is very good for team and he is player who can be 5 milj player too in future Top 5 Bad deals (most overrated contract or too big risk contract) Dave Bolland (FLA) 5,5 milj 5 year in my eyes biggest mistake for this season free agent market. he never be 50 point player. Ofcourse i can be wrong and they pay that price for his defencive ability but i think he get too big salary. In my book only 3 milj player Anton Stralman (TBL) 4,5 milj 5 year wow TB make more free for they salary cap and this was reason. In my view only 2 milj player. Was mistake in my eyes to pay him so much. he is defencive defender but not best defencive defender. usually best defencive defenders get 5,5-4,5 salary. Matt Niskanen (WSH) 5,75 and 7 year. Wow i wait that he will get good salary because one good season. I think contract was too long. Niskanen has only one very good season and thats why he is big risk player. In my view his salary value is 4 milj Jonas Hiller (CGY) 4,5 milj 2 year He lost his starting role in Anaheim and Calgary not need goalie. Plus he get too big salary in my view. He is not top 20 goalie at the moment. Only reason why he is not my number two or one flop contract was that contract is only 2 year length Paul Stastny (STL) 7 milj 4 year. Reason why he is this list was that he get 2 milj too big contract in my eyes. Before this season he played couple season only for decent stats/game. In my view he is 50-60 point man and usually they get 6 - 5 milj contracts. Plus St. Louis has good centers already plus they take J.Lehterä as well who can take Stastny first or second center role! Best contracts: Brad Richards - Chicago Jarome Iginla - Colorado Thoma Vanek - Minnesota Ryan Miller - Vancouver Christian Ehrhoff - Pittsburgh Overpaid players: Dave Bolland - Florida - 5.5mil/year WTF??!! Paul Stastny - St-Louis -7mil/year, good player, but way too much money Benoit Pouliot - Edmonton - 4mil/year for a 3rd line player...................... Brooks Orpik - Washington - 5.5mil/year ..... Matt Niskanen - Washington - 5.75mil/year for 7 years...what a joke Anton Stralman - Tampa Bay - 4.5mil/year ....yes he's a solid Defenseman...but not worth 4.5 wtf Matt Moulson.... etc.... Improved teams: Dallas - Spezza, Hemsky, Eaves Washington - Will they get rid of Mike Green? St-Louis - Just adding Statsny makes them that good! I think Richards is at least 4,5 dollar man still. Only reason why NYR buy out his contract was that its so long Overpaid players: 1. Dave Bolland - Florida - 5.5mil/year WTF??!! 2. Benoit Pouliot - Edmonton - 4mil/year for a 3rd line player...................... 1. Yeah i was WTF too. First they pay only 4,0 milj for Jussi Jokinen and then 5,5 to Bolland. Even that Jokinen is much importand and better player. Most overpaid contract in my view too. As we know one bad contract can cost a lot for team. 2. This was day 2 contract? I not saw that in my game one post. Yeah i think he is second in my overpaid player list now. WOOW. Only one decent season. Why Why Edmonton make so big mistake when they are so close to team who can start win cups (like Chicago before first cup, a lot good young players, only difference is couple bad contract) This contract can cost a lot for team in future. Yes i totaly agree with you plus they must pay little bit extra too that they can hit to minimum salary cap aswell. So in next season manager game. I was thinking that what if we take 6 forward and 4 defender and 2 goalie. Then we will add up 3 best forwards goal, assist, points and plus minus and then someone who has most total points win best forwards trophy. Then we add up best two defenders stats (goal, assist, points and plus minus) and who get biggest total amount win defender trophy, then we add up one goalie stats and who get best goalie stats win goalie trophy. Then in team stats we count goal different and who get best difference win. Mean we add up 3 best forwards and 2 best defenders goals together and get goals and then we minus our best goalieallowed goals and we get goal difference. We must count that goalie play 82 game that we get real allowed goal amount. So if someone goalie play 50 game and allow 100 goal we first divide 100/50=2 goal per game and then multiply that for full season games 82*2=164 Example Meow three best forwards are Crosby, Tavares, Ovechkin and two best defenders are Keith, Karlsson and they make 150 goal and Meow take Quick to goal who allow 120 goal then his team goal difference is 30 goal and who get best goal difference win. My salary cap suggestion. New salary cap is 69,000 and team need at least 20 player in roster (12 forward 6 defender and 2 goalie) so when we share 69,000/20 we get one player average salary what is 3,45 milj and then we multiply that in player amount. We take totaly of 12 player but because we count stats only from 6 player (one line+goalie) we can multiply that 3,45 to 10 player. That mean 3,45x10 is 34,5 milj dollar So now we know that we can use 34,5 milj dollar on our players. So we cant take only best players. Reason Why we add up only 3 forwards stats and 2 defender stats even that we take extra players is injuries. When players are injured we not need take new players anymore. I think 10 number/player is good multiply for salary cap. Everyone can take couple favorite player but cant take only bests. If we multiply avarage salary for 12 (our roster size) everyone can take best players when he/she think that only 6 best count. But if we multiply 3,45 avarage salary for 6 then its too small if come injuries. So good multiplay number is important, that way injuries not affect our game too much. So if we get news that our best player is out rest of season we can know that we not lost game automaticly. What you think guys. We can take competition for forwards, defenders and goalie or only team goal difference. We can talk here too what is your suggestion on salary cap multiply. (now its 10) I can count all stats but if someone want help with count stats help is welcome. We can talk too how we choose players. In my mind its allowed take same players. And in season i tell scores 5x per season. First is after 10 game then after 30 game then after 50 game and last after 72 game and final scores. That mean when last team played that amount of games. So some player can have extra games. I see that salary cap be count for 10 player when its 34,5. Or maybe for 12 for our roster size when it will be 41,4. It could be more simple for the points: 1)Goals + assists = players points 2)wins + shutouts = goalies points Would be easier to calculate (we could find a free website that does it for us).
