Through out the eight maps I played my latency remained stable. However there were spikes indicating packet loss and severe snapshot extrapolation on my lagometer at seemingly random intervals for no more than 90 seconds at a time. Even when the lagometer was clean players would flash connection interrupted icons and the game state seemed delayed (likely the snapshot extrapolation on their end). The above trace route is during one of these "spikes." I allowed it to continue after things leveled out. I believe the "no response from host" is just a server throwing out the packets since they are so small (default 64 bytes) and since ET uses UDP packets for the majority of game commands this is irrelevant. I hope that once your ISP has fixed its problem nodes for other users, as well as other users in this thread correcting their own connection flaws, that this will be resolved. Until that time I would like to request a simple server restart to ensure that any additional overhead is reduced as much as possible (current up time: 24 days, 15 hours). Thanks.
