Did you install any new updates lately? Any hardware changes?

Last time a game started doing this sort of thing... my gfx card fried. Hopefully it ain't as serious.

Looks like a cfg made for minimal graphics went wrong, at first glance.

I would post your cfg in a spoiler, maybe someone can see the problem and tell you what to change.

I agree with Anti. Here's something from the Windows side you can check real quick too:

Right click the desktop, go to Screen Resolution

Click Advanced Settings

Click Monitor

Make sure colors is set to the highest it can go and isn't set to something like 8 or 16 bit.

Yeah, that definitely looks like a config problem.

EDIT: Top one looks like that time I messed up a skin for Halo and turned the entire map into rainbow colours...

i just tried something, i opened ATI Catalyst Control Center (CCC) (my laptop has ATI mobilty radeon 5470 DDC Display or ATI mobilty radeon 5470 E2341).

There was "Switchable graphics". it was on GPU for High performance and i could select Energysaving GPU, on that last GPU setting are the graphics better but i have super lag

drawfoliage is cheat protected and should be on 1, so maybe others cvars with wrong setting, like this one. You might have setted them manually in console and they're not present in your cfg.. For the rest, unless if I missed something there's nothing shocking in your cfg.. Maybe the RoundImageDown I would have setted on 1 and this mix of settings for low rendering and some others you leave and could lower it a bit more.

edit: if you're unsure you can reset all settings with /cvar_restart and then load again your cfg.

I've had this happen to me when I had radeon card. I would rollback driver ...

Posted

I don't think that's config related, looks more like a damaged videocard or some driver problem at least...

Ah Radeon... that's the same brand I had when this sort of weird crap went down. The first picture is the closest thing that resembled the signs of my card burning out. Try a rollback or even update the drivers and see what happens. If no change, then, prognosis looks pretty bleak.

As you have a laptop with dual cards, have you tried right clicking wolf et  and choosing 'run with graphics processor', then selecting a card? My laptop has built in Intel HD gfx and Nvidia as well. Most things used to normally boot with the Intel card which was slow or buggy with most games, until I switched to nvidia for default. Once programs/games opened with Nvidia as my default card, it made a world of difference.

I don't see the problem.    :D

Try a default config followed by a reinstall if needed to narrow it down to ET or drivers.  From other players I've seen with similar problems in the past it ended up being video card/video card drivers.

I tried compatibilitymode but it didn't work,

i'll try updating my drivers again after exams

this helped me a bit, but i still lag now ;l so now i know it's not a config problem, but i think i just need a different Graphic card, can you get those for a laptop? it's a HP G62 Notebook(4G RAM / i3 2.27GHz ATI mobility Radeon 5470)

Laptops and replacable Graphic cards usualy is a no-go.

Still think that it might be driver/software/config related tho.

Good luck!
