I was just reading the post where someone lost their trial admin rights due to a PC change.  This reminded me of what Smoke said a long time ago about regularly backing up your profiles. Personally I use a thumb drive and just back up or copy the "Players" folder on to it.  Because I got lax in doing it, it had been 8 months since my last back up.  Talk about playing with fire.

Anyway, don't forget to back up your profiles or other important files in case you have a crash or a change where you might need this information.

I still back my profile up even after this happened **CLICK**

I back up everything, to the cloud and to my extra hard drives. I keep one of them in a fire proof safe, just incase.

Great plan, i really should look into putting my et folder in a flashdrive, but some people i guess wanna start all over with maybe a new kd. I know kd resets are a huge want for many players!

I never back up. If it happens it happens. I never play for accomplishments and the only gun that is gold is the deagle. I honestly don't care enough to allow myself to become so engaged in fictitious world.

backin' up is pretty important - if you dont want to invest the time again!

spanky learned it the hard way, we tried all kinds of stuff to revive them, but nothing worked...

i love playing my lvl55 - but also like the thrill of getting new profiles to the top - just to prove myself how godlike i am :eek

but back to topic: aint there a possibility to back up the folder somewhere here? like the most distanced point from our homes with all the harddrives and flashdrives and whatever?

I will most likely just back up my profile to an external drive that I have, that way if anything happens it's fine, although, starting over clean is always nice. That's what I did when I installed COD4 on this computer, and I'm around level 30 now.
