Here, my advice

Your ET server is all over the place. And heres why and how to fix them.

 

Bots. They are a huge problem when it comes to stacking teams. Simply because it fills the spots of the team that needs to get more full. I suggest you take the team with the lowest amount of players and make sure there is always 1 less player than the fuller team. Meaning it will always have 1 less bot. Forcing the gap to be filled.

 

Rushing rules, Its complete bull. Each map is very different and different in length. Also the reason for these maps are the objectives. Rushing very badly enforced.

 

The 5 minute  rule is great on larger maps. But small maps its awful. I suggest each map has slight different rules. For example:

 

Fuel Dump; Must have both walls blown withing or after the 5 minute market before planting TNT

Gold Rush; No anti rush rule. It can be a very long map at and after barricade 2

Frost Bite; No anti rush rule. Its a very short map. Fragging is very boring and plain in this terrain. Germans should be able to defend efficently. Allies should be able to set up efficently.

Temple; Its a long map, theres should never be a problem with rushing.

Something something night(that map where you blow up the lab to get the parts); 5 minute rule for radar parts only. Getting into there can be tricky. Expecially in a fuller server

Oasis; Definitely have the 5 minute rush rule, unless a full server. With a full server its tough anyway. But on shorter servers it can be an ease.

The gold stealing map (forgot name): No rule to set up, but if its a small amount of people on its way to easy unless great defenders. 5 minute rule if low amount of players no rule if high amount.

 

 

Lack of Axis based maps.

 

I suggest base race. Its both sides and the objective lasts the map. Its a strong map for fragging, objective and sides dont matter to enjoy how you like to play.

 

Methods of evening teams, dealing with rushers:

 

I see often forced moving and forced shuffles, this kills a large amount of the players fun forcing them to leave making the server more empty. Always ask first, i constantly see people moving and switching others out of personal interest. If a person enjoys doing maps and no killing. That needs some respect as well as if people like to kill whether its being axis to camp easier or allied for a tougher approach (speaking from maps that are generaly allied attacking)

 

The 5 minute rule, today a member had a b*** fit about me finishing a map in 6 minutes. Threatened to ban me because he couldn't handle it. No one asked me not to plant the tnt, no one said get rid of it. I played by the rules. He went wild, muted me when I told him I followed the rules. He was disrespectful, i dont really take the bull I tell it how it is. It was out of personal interest. Be polite to people who do the obj, if you say to them. Just wait a bit. They will wait. Theres no reason to throw your weight about because you got some fancy commands. It does not give a nice vibe to the community.

 

If they aim to exploit easy ways map after map, warn them if they show disrespect and carry on kick them, then ban them tempory as a first ban if they come back in to have a go.

 

Just my 2 cents. I find theres way to many power hungry people thinking because they have a rank they are right.

 

 

Then lastly for the fraggers. Get a few tough allied maps (or vise versa if trying to level out map styles). Fraggers are usualy axis. Meaning maps like sea wall will do just fine for these people.

so your kidding right have any idea how long it would take to make map specific rushing rules....any way we have been running successful servers for over 5 yrs now i think they know what there doing

Learn to play both team...instead of always when you have to play defending team you disconnect & the problem is not the maps or the bots..the problem is the ppl that dont respect the rules and only play allies..every one knows perfectly that if you go spec...bot even teams and you can join weakest team....you are a regular its not new to you im sure. We have many and you are one of them. Its not the 1st warn you had...I count many in my list and I count many in other admins list...you arrive and in one min it was over..

!rush says...5mins but let others enjoy the map....you don't care about others...you just care about your self..

every one was asking you after you finish...why you did it?...

So we have 20 players one server...but only your opinion counts..and every time you do it you laugh at our faces...but like i leted you know...there is a limit for everything..

and when i made you play defending team you disconnect.. So it seems you are not such a fair play that you are trying to show...

like i said to you even when i don't play I have a close person that play on jay 2 every day and i see you disrespecting the rules many time...and laughing about it...enough now...

You do realise you don't need to do anything? Just a few guide lines and people to enforce them in general? And make sure the members know them. I had owned a successful server in the past. So please dont judge on experience. No ones asking you to script an automatic detection system for each map. Its more of teaching your members to know and judge the enviroment well enough to enforce fair gameplay on both sides.

I can play both teams, its personal preference. This is where you're ignorant. Am I going to tell you learn to eat baked beans because your favorite foods always on the plate. No I am not.

The problem with bots is your methods are dealing with them - 1 bot forces teams to get fuller over time. I dont think people should be punished for being happy in what they do

Again vise vera. I cannot give a damn about your opinion in whats a fun map. It works both ways. What I do is try to compromise you're very forceful. Thats your flaw. Thats your ignorance. Not mine. If you had asked. It would of been fine. Like I did in the next map. I held back, I respected. You were very bad mouthing and ignorant.

And everyone? one person went why tom, thats natural. You know. 1 person out of like 16-20 players. Well my gosh. Again, your opinion is what you say that counts. Not mine. This is wrong, I respected them. I did not go full on the next map, it was an easily fixable thing yet you decided to be a bad man.

You're how old? you are what rank. I personaly think you should know better. You try and act big. To me its nothing, I have no value for your opinion because of lack of respect for others but yourself.

As you can see, I finished the map in 6 minutes. Was not a full server. It was bare. You were the angry one. And the next map I let people have their fun. I compromised, you had a b***. Its simple. Please tell me how you and one guy is everyone.

 

I did not even mention your name, I give you the benifit of the doubt. Maybe you had a bad day. I don't know. But now I can see you're plain disrespectful. Sure I came in 1 minute. But is that really the time frame you can just b*** about someone efficently doing the objective? You should of taken this aproach

I dont think letting admins learn the maps will be the biggest deal, its the countless people coming in any of the servers everyday, new or regulars, they probably dont feel like takign the time to read specific rules for 10-40 maps, the system may sound nice but in reality it wont gain a thing, just my 2 cents

The first thing you should do is respect our rules and our admins, atm your suggestions about rush rule are different from our current rush rules, so you have to respect the current rush rules and not your suggestions, which aren't,according to the definition of the word 'suggestion', the rules.

This aside, the current rush rule for Jay2 is good, ofc it's not very useful for the biggest maps, but setting up different rush rules for each map would be pointless and waaaay too complicated for us and the regulars. 

About team stacking, you must understand we're sick to ask to the same players several times per day not to stack the team or not to mess with the shuffle. To keep teams even and to keep a good atmosphere, both regulars and admins must make efforts, not only admins, and regulars should learn the rules of the server they're currently playing on, ie as you're a regular an admin normally shouldn't recall you the rules, especially if it's not the first time he has to do so.

statistics...teams are balance on jay 2....and 90 percent of the ppl that come even if they have place in the weakest they join the strongest (attacking allies)

and we got to babysit every 2 mins...and you are part of that 90 percent of players that dont even care about checking teams to be a fair game....

 

and ofc you didnt rush the next one...it was venice and it cant berushed...-.-

Its good in a long term feel, It only needs a quiet word. its easy to tell if someones going for the objective. A simple hey calm down for x minutes.

I will respect if I get respect. Its earned not given. You came in polite and added your bit. I respect that. But I dont respect lucky for shoving his weight about. What I request is guidelines rather than forced rules everywhere. A more open mind. Its simple im not dictating it should happen. But compromise is needed.

Some can play only 30 min - 1 hour couple time in week and when they see they favorite map they want play that map more than couple min. Dont ruin another players game only because you want rush. If you not like our rush rule you can go play another servers where are no rush rule! In Hardcore server we have no rush rule!

 

 

And before we even teams we always ask "even teams" or "can some move axis/allies team and even up". If no one move we must take someone. Its not fun if team are uneven.

I did the object after the rules, there were no real problem. Not everyones going to be happy on both sides. Compromise. And yes calling me a 10 year old when I speak more clearly and less ignorant than you. Big man.You are 29 years old by the looks of things. Any 29 year old should have the mind set mature enough to not threaten me with bans because I finished a map AFTER the rules. "Tom, please wait a bit longer" fine done dusted. No hard feelings. Hey I understand people get frustrated. But I did NOT rush the map. The rule was 5 minutes. I finished in 6 due to no defenders on the axis side. If going by that logic allies will never win. I was being punished and disrespect by an admit for following the rules. He only had to say a little longer and its fine. But whats not fine is going at me for enjoying how i play the map. Within the rules too!

 

And I understand some admins ask. But i've seen countless that do it out of personal interest

I think you need to look up the term ignorant, it describes you perfectly.

 

And yes "are you 10" thats also calling me 10 due to the context you tell it in. Its thrown as "You act like you're 10" When the whole time I was like yeah ok, but I didnt break the rules. Then I let people have their fun. Yet you still get mad telling me you'll ban me, throwing abuse at me. Then you mute me because you couldn't handle the truth.

 

This is ingorance.

 

No rules were broke. It was your personaly gain only.

 

And the next map was not venice. It was the map where you get the key card and truck... That can be rushed. I could of done it in 2 minutes. After that it were snatch where you tried to move me to axis even when I respected others playing choises.

 

And I repeat your words to you.

 

Who are YOU to give me a lesson on respect and fairness. Just because you have admin? Please. Whats fair is. I showed respect, what is not fair is you tried to dictate your ways beyond current rules. And I stood up to it.
