Spawntimer

hello guys

i need a little bit help i searching fo a spawntimer to the opposing team!

what I've found so far seems very complicated

you have to set everything manually after each new map

also there is for every map a cfg

I was wondering if there gives  not any simpler way

maybe someone who's knows it
or can  make an tutorial about it!

I would be delighted to see if it's go  easier ;)

Greetings Play

Spawn times on jaymod servers are harder because they are too short, and their ratio is not as easy as 30/20 like on etpro.

If axis and allies have the same time you can check when they spawn in your own timer, like you (used to?) do on etpro in maps like purefrag.

If they are different, short and complex ratios, then I would just give up... I'm too lazy for that :P

hehehe thx sunlight for you reply ;)

I'm also too lazy for that!

different times of attack and defend pretty make much  sense in my eyes

at very short times, it makes very little sense!

thank you first for your  answer :P

I also like honest answer(I'm too lazy for that)

Easiest way to set up a spawntimer is to use timerset x. I believe it only works on etpro and silent though, and it's really quite useless outside of etpro anyways given the different lengths of spawn shields which can make spawn camping almost pointless.

bind N "timerset x;echo ^p//^wAllies Spawned"
bind M "timerset x;echo ^p//^wAxis Spawned"
bind . "timerset 0;echo ^p//^wSpawntimer Reset"

If you play on hardcore the spawn times are 14/18 on most maps.  Use the binds underachiever posted but set x to the proper values.

Ex. bind N "timerset 14"

I'm learning about spawntimers nowadays, I'll share with you that :
If you press during the game ESC then clic on Server Info :

All you need to check is about :

 + g_bluelimbotime (allies) : 10000 = 10s

 + g_redlimbotime (axis)  : 14000 = 14s

On the silent mod, it's almost always like this, so what you need is to bind a key with that line "timerset14" to know axis spawntime in red on the right part of the screen.
For allies, it's easy it's every 10 sec, no need for spawntimer :P

you don't need to go to serverinfo I think, just type /g_bluelimbotime and see the value (I think! not tested but on silent mod it used to work for me)

on etpro spawn timers change every map

this is what I use:

// Spawntimer

bind MOUSE5 "vstr timerSet-time; vstr enemy-spawned; play sound/menu/select.wav"
bind h "vstr timerSet-toggle"
set enemy-spawned "echo ^p-> ^gEnemy Spawned"

set timerSet-time "timerSet 20"
set timerSet-toggle "vstr timerSet30"
set timerSet-TimerInput "openTimerInput; set timerSet-time resetTimer; set timerSet-toggle vstr timerSetxx"
set timerSet20 "set timerSet-time timerSet 20; set timerSet-toggle vstr timerSet30; echo ^1>> ^9Timer Set: 20; play sound/menu/select.wav"
set timerSet30 "set timerSet-time timerSet 30; set timerSet-toggle vstr timerSet15; echo ^1>> ^9Timer Set: 30; play sound/menu/select.wav"
set timerSet15 "set timerSet-time timerSet 15; set timerSet-toggle vstr timerSet25; echo ^1>> ^9Timer Set: 15; play sound/menu/select.wav"
set timerSet25 "set timerSet-time timerSet 25; set timerSet-toggle vstr timerSetxx; echo ^1>> ^9Timer Set: 25; play sound/menu/select.wav"
set timerSetxx "set timerSet-time vstr timerSet-TimerInput; set timerSet-toggle vstr timerSet20; echo ^1>> ^9Timer Set: Input; play sound/menu/select.wav"

Modus Operandi spawn timer/selector. Works only on ETpro afaik.

Does not require any configuration at the start of each map, just hit the spawn time on the key pad and you're good to go! (Supports common ETpro maps).
