Dddrgn Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 definitely too many movies to just list, but I can give a few of my favorites. Wreck it ralph (yes, I am that nerdy), It's a wonderful life, the pursuit of hapyness, seven pounds, inception, psycho, and more that I can't think of right now. 2 Quote

Cicione Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 1. Outlaw Josey Wales / Two Mules for Sister Sarah - Clint Eastwood Rocks! (Any Clint Eastwood western is a top 5) 2. Bladerunner - Stunning visual effects way before its time! 3. Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid - Robert Redford at his best 4. Heat - Al Pacino, Val Kilmer, Robert De Niro...excellent cast, great action! 5. Team America, World Police - so politically incorrect and puppets! 1 Quote

There's a song by Phish called the Inlaw Josie Wales hahahaha Have to agree with Blade Runner and Butch Cassidy. Apparently the book "Do androids dream of electric sheep?" is much deeper than the movie. I won't give anything away. There are a couple of threads through it that are totally non-existent in the movie. Now.... Lemme just put out there that the Cohen brothers' movies are absolutely fantastic and way underrated by the general populous. The most famous is probably The Big Lebowski, though I could be wrong. It is fantastic. O' Brother Where Art Thou? Is great, as well. And Fargo is just a masterpiece. The sound-tracks for the cohen brothers productions tend to be kickass, as well. And quite eclectic. Aside from all these, I must say that I think the first Matrix is one of the best sci-fi movies, ever. The second two were sub-par, in my opinion, unless you were just looking for the action from the first. They deliver in that regard, I guess. But in all other regards, they are sub-par and, in my opinion, highly superfluous to the series. I am also a huge fan of The Life Aquatic. It gets better every time I see it. Dr. Strangelove, anyone? One of Kubrick's masterpieces. Also, isn't Citizen Kane supposed to be the best movie of all-time? Not in my tastes, as the best, to be quite honest. But cinematography snobs and film students (usually a synonym) tend to say that is the best one, right? And you can't forget this one..... also a masterpiece. Quote
