Funksdead Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I know I am no longer a member of F|A but I will render my opine here and assume appropriate responses. The use of !kick maybe used without warnings for repeat offenders and any actions or behavior which effect ongoing game play. IE: .a AFK player blocking a doorway does immediately effect game play so a kick without three warnings is indeed allowable. If you wish to warn the guy 3 times and wait the appropriate 1 minute between each warn .... then I might suggest you go back on trial. 3

Chuckun Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Totally agree - with ET it's simple because anyone can 'push' a player, but CoD requires fast action regarding blockers.. If they're blocking whilst sniping or something, ask them to move, giving appropriate warning and time to resolve their position, but if they're AFK, just get rid of them, one person is not worth annoying the whole server..
Dddrgn Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Yeah, makes sense - if someone is doing something that I find completely unacceptable, and has ignored past warns (whether in the same day or not) I will kick them immediately.
kentikins Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Totally agree, I've seen repeat offenders (of disrespect, use of different language etc.) return to servers and to get continual warnings from admins. But on the other hand these offenders are quite relentless and will still return right after being kicked so a temp ban may be more suitable.
speedfact Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Recommend askin them to move first. We are also trying to teach our guys to use their commands properly and go by protocol. If they want to warn 3 times, all i have to say to them is good job and keep it up. instant kicks are ok in some situations, door blocking not really because there is always 2 ways out. warning them usually gets the message across and the admins dont look like totally jerks. 3

Yes always ask to move or warn if player is doing it quite a bit. In this case the was warned by another, then swiped at with knife shot at etc... he was AFK. Hence the kick...15 people on server, 3 of us behind him in a complete block of a hallway 1
speedfact Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) Cool so you are willing to provide a demo. Then also in this case it wouldn't have been an instant kick now would it. As it has been stated we follow the simple procedure of: You can always issue first !warn and second !warn should be issued after 1 min which gives sufficient time for a player to act. On 3rd !warn player will be auto kicked. !kick should be used to remove players who continuously use restricted perks or are previously warned. If the guy was warned off 3 times thats cool, if he came back and still broke the rule i would say kick him. but we warn first then kick, specially since there is no rule against blocking doors. /moving conversation to pm. Don't like arguing on forums.. Edited June 26, 2013 by speedfact
