ET Crashing

Tried your config and had hanging results, whatever I do it stays the same. I renamed my ET folder to another one and re installed ET back again (FA installer version) then copy back everything from old to new ET folder except etmain folder. Copied back my etkey and that fixed the problem.

 

Maybe replace your config with sheep's config from crossfire or l4mpje config, google.

 Maybe if you post a condump of the error you get, we can have an idea about which setting makes your game crash, then you remove just that setting

if you add:

set logfile 1

 

to your config, then you will get a log called etconsole.log (it could be in etmain folder or your mods folder) if ET crashes totally to your desktop without messages, you can still try to read that.

do /condump pre1.cfg

You mean /writeconfig ?

when it crashes, the entire ET is unresponsive, I cant remember that Et spits out some helpful log, it just hangs there, can't even press console key or mouse click.

 

Once I used his config, it makes my ET totally unusable and causing me to do full re-install. I had a feeling it is related to his PB config lines as at times it is causing me to be kicked out for hacked attempt on J3. My attempts to reconnect would simply crash  whatever config I used, nothing helpful on log too. Th elog is only saying that I have joined a team, joining any team will led to a crash even via console or limbomenu. So I fixed my problem by doing full reinstall, but did not solved his problem yet.

I got it working at my end, try to rename the mod folder where you want to use that config and see if that helps.

You are the man!!!!!!!!!! Thank you! I tried sheeps but for some strange reason I get the exact same results! I ended up just pulling out a few key things from the .cfg and I am all set now. Thanks for the support! I love you guys
