android high data usage

my android os has been eating my data plan.how can i fix this

Would suggest to disable applications using data when you are not using phone? Check which applications are running using task manager?

 

What kind of phone and which android version you have?

and once i close facebook in task manager it start up by itself

Turn off roaming/data services.

 

Settings -->Wireless&Networks-->Mobile Networks

 

I found that even while not using the net, you still leak data pretty fast. So if you don't need internet 24/7, turn it off when not in use.

do you have wifi at home or at work?

 

when connected to wifi at home and at work, i do not even come close to 2 GB.

Turn off anything that is auto syncing. Like contacts or emails or pictures or things like that as well.
