These guys are becoming a real nuisance now. Coming onto an unprotected server and running their major hacks and ruining our fun.

Had one again this afternoon. It may be just one guy who keeps changing his info with that hack but this is getting old.

Kindly contact one of the admins at that point in time. We will take his GUID and ban him...

Question: I'm not sure how the ban process works, so bear with...

Can you ban without going on the server? Does the cheater report hep with anything other than making admins aware of hackers for future reference? Especially if there is no GUID on the report.

COD4 #3 (Beginners) is not protected by PB. However, we have ways to stop them.

We communicate mainly by XFire. You can find our XFire names under our avatars to the left on posts. Or you can look us upo on the FA XFrire page here: http://www.xfire.com/communities/fearlessmembers/ or here: http://fearless-assassins.com/topic/140-xfire-and-steam-you-can-post-your-xfire-here-or-you-can-join-us-all/ (This has non-admins also)

Taking a demo and posting it in our Cheater Report section here: http://fearless-assassins.com/forums/70-cheater-report/ will help us out. Be sure to follow this form: http://fearless-assassins.com/forum-70/announcement-7-read-before-reporting-cheaters/ .

By posting in the Cheater Report section, it will allow us to view the demo and based on the timestamp you provide, we can check the logs and issue an "off-line ban" if necessary.

Thank you for your assistance on the server.

Great. I've always considered the demos a last resort because I didn't know you could do that. I guess I'll still always opt for calling someone in on XFire, but this help.

Just adding my two cents... I'd say we get about 1 hack a day (roughly speaking), but in my experience they don't last more than one game until someone is able to get a hold of an admin, and they're booted. That's one of the things I like about FA is that there is an active admin checking in every now and then (perhaps more when they're not using the F|A tag ;)

Gubbi just helped me boot a guy I suspected (he confirmed an aimbot) and Gub was using an alt name, so all I had to do was ask if an admin was around and he responded.

The only thing I'd question is this "rule" of not openly reporting a suspect. I understand they might turn off their hack, but in my experience that rarely happens. And usually *everyone* knows they're hacking at some point.

I've often thought there might be a "codeword" to alert an admin of a possible hack that we could just say in the live chat.

Anyway, they usually get caught and booted which is the bottom line :)

PS> My problem is that my xfire (or on mac it's blackfire) is buggy for me. I can't seem to invite players/admins as friends, and when it's opened in the background, it will crash my COD. :(

We don't have a codeword but there is always a chance that one of us higher admins are on but just undercover. The reason why we don't like people calling out hackers is two reasons. The first is that, yes it alerts the hacker that we are on to them, and 50% of the time they turn the hacks off or make it extremely hard for us to catch them. The second reason is that it usually causes mass panick among the players and everyone starts calling them out, spamming chat and going to spec...it gets really annoying if you are trying to spec a guy and theres 40 people yelling wolf.

As for your mac/xfire problem, we have a lot of mac users that can probably help you out. Just post whats wrong here: http://fearless-assassins.com/forums/38-cod-series-support/

The more info you put the more likely someone can help you out.

I'd say a lot more than that. I've been calling Speed in at least once a day lately.

We average anywhere from 5 to 15 hackers a day...mainly weekends are when we get a lot.

Cyen did a good job today. He was very discrete, asked for my xfire and didn't cause mass panic.

I am using adium and you have to get the Xblaze add-on. Works pretty good for me, hardly crashes anymore and since the update I have no problems with inviting, accepting or declining friends.

Thank you for your help, every help from regulars is appreciated.

We need to have a notice running on the chat feed (maybe every minute) saying "DO NOT CALL OUT HACKERS IN THE MAIN CHAT!" I've had 4 hackers escape before I can get their pl and guid because someone is like xXYOLOSWAG420Xx IS A HACKER!!!!!!!!11111!!!!1!1one!11!
