Vanaraud Posted July 15, 2013 Share Posted July 15, 2013 This movie blew my mind, definitely best movie this year. I´m fan of mecha anime and sci-fi and like also action movies. This masterpiece combined it all together with well directed 3D effects. Most of the movies these days have 3D in the movie title just to lure out some money from visitors but the beginning of the movie earned the 3D movie title which is held in my opinion by 5 movies at maximum overall. So the directing was good and camera angles showed cool mecha robots in details. The suits the pilots were wearing looked astonishing as "Dead Space" suits also. The story was well built describing the main parts of technology but not going into depth which you could start arguing about. There was some drama and romance developed in middle of the movie taking the tempo a little bit off but then it was awarded with massive fight scene showed in trailers too. And the monsters felt like real beasts indeed. Oh did I already mention that mechas looked uber cool. On side note one thing I didn´t understood about this movie was the audience: suprisingly half of the seats were taken by chicks not by some sci-fi nerds like me:P PS.
