Panzers.

My opinion about them. They are highly annoying '-'. But a lot of players enjoy them and it's unfair to take there favorite weapon, so i started to scout for fair options ( note that these are my idea's and that they have to be considered as suggestions ) .

 

1) a panzerwar server ( sort of fun server, 1 shot shoots like 15 explosives Low gravity so you can fly arround & ofc baserace)

2) in jay4 the panzers shoot in a straight line, might make it drop down so it is hard to aim.

3) The recharge time for when you are able to shoot again, a guy launched 3 shots at me in less than 10 seconds o.O'

4) Change nothing, and it won't harm anyone

 

Note that these are just some small suggestions and that i'd love to see some input / thoughts about this subject.

1) A panzerwar server wouldn't work, I don't think having just one server just for panzers would be beneficial.

2) Yea we have that on Jay2 that could probably be implemented over there.

3) Recharge time for panzer is usually 5 secs with CP built and only if you fired your first one and still have some charge left, without it it takes longer to shoot I don't know how they got 3 shots in less than 10 secs though maybe you counted wrong?

4) Panzer is part of the game. Sure it's annoying at times but that why we have that weapon limited to one per team just like the flamer to prevent any abuse. Do what I do, see a panzer, leave in another direction that way you wont get caught.

I say deal with it, the way the mod is setup, because I have, find a new mod to your liking, and have seen more than my share of people have issues with and or suggesting in a polite way to change something.

 

 

 

When you think of an Issue with something like server mods take " i " out of the picture and think as " we ".

I would double what Krauersaut said,even if we find someone who is able to pay for this server i don't believe it's going to survive,ofcourse it's fun to play panzerwar from time to time but panzerwar 24/7?People will get bored pretty quick and then what do we have-a empty server.Don't know if are you aware of this but we do have occasional panzerwars in Jay4 with messed up gravity,other than that i find yoyo's comment very helpful.

Lots of players enjoy panzer wars, but indeed payment and maintenance is going to be a problem

panzers should always be part of ET, regardless of what complaints have been made about them since ET began. some players even think an engies mines should be eliminated because they are too hard to see 0_o. and sure they are annoying, especially since you can't be revived once you are blown to bits. but hey, you learn to make adjustments when playing.

 

panzers are effective weapons when used correctly against enemies. even players with high k/d's use them and use them well (just ask gregorious nekshot), but unfortunately nubs do also, which is where most complaints are since they tend to tk. best advice against panzers? stay alert, dodge, and use yoyo's /kill suggestion if you're too scared.

 

or better yet, grab one yourself and blast away.
