I know that I for one would love it. Also, mods tend to bring in a lot less n00bs, and a lot of experienced players who have gotten tired of the same old TDM games.

less n00bs?, hm, so you wont play this mod? then i vote for galactic warfare. :) we dont care how much "pro" you are. all kind of skills are welcome on our servers.

well, it looks funny. but if you play this everyday it will become like mod warfare: ordinary and normal.

WOW!! This mod looks so awesome! if we still have the empty mixed gametype server on 1.7 we might can try this mod on that server.

Think it would be lots of fun!

You want us to install a 760MB mod on a server? Who is going to download that?

Apart from that, there are a total of 27 servers for that mod. And 4 out of 546 players playing on a Friday evening. (An average 0.15 out of 20.22 slots utilized.) That's what I call a dead mod.

Well, lets just dump some water on a little girl in her new dress why don't we. Geez man, why don't you try to be nice sometime, say something like "Hey that looks real cool, but I don't know if we could get enough players on it." And ya, I just challenged you, so just kick me from the server, -1 every app I have send in. But as long as I am somewhat nice, people will still like me....You on the other hand are going to die friendless unless you ease up on the Hard Reality, and put a little encouragement into your posts. Not saying this to be disrespectful, but gee man, can you give us a break?!?!

Why some people take everything Krauersaut says as some sort of personal attack, I'll likely never understand, but lets please drop it, move on and stop trying to turn everything into a soap opera because frankly, I'm tired of it.

On topic, He has a point.

It's a large mod...You have to consider the fact that people who have never played the mod before will have to sit on a download screen while that huge mod file downloads to their computer and installs, you also have to account for failed connections. low internet speeds and download errors (which is a turn off for people looking to play a quick game) and that's just client side of it. You also have to consider how much room it's going to take up on the servers HD, how much ram has to be allocated to run not only the mod but everything else, how much bandwidth (which is expensive) it's going to take for several users to download a 760MB file from the server at the same time among other things. Not to mention there is more than one server per machine so you also have to think about how all of those factors are going to impact the other servers running on the same machine.

I don't hate the idea if giving a mod server another try, but we have to take these things into consideration, especially given how high maintenance a mod server can be. If I recall correctly the last time we had a mod server there were a lot of people who had download issues and it was a huge pain to try and solve these issues and we tried that mod for a week and the server remained empty even with people camping it. Now if we can find the right mod that is light weight, has few bugs and could draw a crowd AND there were enough members interested in camping it to get it populated, that would be the way to go in my opinion.

All that being said, thank you for posting the suggestions, we do appreciate it when members come forward with their ideas :)

I'm sorry Krauersaut, I shouldn't have attacked you like that. If you are going to tell us why it's not possible, could you please do it like Joe does? Joe explained it very well, in a manner that made me understand the problems that a Non-Admin player (me) has never run into before.

Thx

Krauersaut explain it more than well, he bring statistic to the table. This mod look awesome but 760MB is alot to download , you dont need to be a Admin player to understand that. Everybody got its own manner to explain things, Krauersaut do it with numbers and facts, those things dont lie.

Back to the topic, this mod look really sweet and i wouldnt mind installing it for 760MB, the crosshair is really small, encouraging mindless spray and pray wich i dont really support but otherwise, this mod is awesome (and the laser sounds....mmmm delicious).
