From what I can see on your screenshot, you use a picmip with high detals.. Try "/r_picmip 3" to set them at low.. Stop some windows services (Mz Game Accelerator) and set the priority of your game at high (ProcessManager or Mz CPU Accelerator).. I'm able to get high fps with all this and with an old G.Card.. Always between 125fps and 333fps (at least 125fps)..

trying your cfg just changing seta r_displayRefresh "to 75" r_mode 4 ill try 6 is or -1 and customs 1024x768

Might help some to turn off some of the 'pretties' in win7 and set it for 'performance'.

My monitor is a big TV LCD HD 1920*1080 (Philips) me too.. And to say true I have changed this value in the post but in reality I use this one "200" even if i know its not really good.. Since I have read that some screen can support more than the adviced value I have setted it to 200 who is the max (idk why but not good with 100 and got some spikes and 0 is the value setted by windows from info got for your screen).. So, indeed, set it at 75 or let it to 0 to let windows do the work, it will be the same value..

You could but I don't think you're going to get an effect.. Only keep this cvar "seta r_allowsoftwaregl" on 1..

This ratio of screen 1024x768 could be good.. Personnaly i can't aim with a low reso especially if you aim at head so i think it's depending your personnal way to play.. And this one is totaly good IMHO.. Edited by Annibal

i use win7 if i set high priority this start news problem i get bad ping.

Narugo, I think I've found the fundamental problem, I am sorry to say.

 

Going from the x2 7750 to the x2 5200+ was a major downgrade.

 

I was troubled by that very low CPU rating in your 'Windows Experience' report for the 5200+, since the Core2 Duo 2 Ghz that is in the laptop I bought in 2008 (and play ET on now) has a cpu rating of 4.9.

 

- I found out that the 5200 is a "B" or Business-class 'B' series CPU, which usually means "not so good for gaming."

- The 5200 launched in q1-2006, while the 7750 launced in q4-2008. My laptop's cpu launced in q1-2008.

- The 7750 has 2mb of L3 cache, while the 5200 has none.

- The 7750 supports SSE4a, one higher version than the 5200's SSE3.

- The 5200 used the AM2 cpu socket, while the 7750 used the AM2+. The 5200 will fit into the AM2+, but the software for the motherboard chipset and the BIOS may have to be changed (downgraded somehow) to enable the 5200 to get to full potential.

- The 5200 uses a 1Ghz HT, while the 7750 uses 1.8Ghz. HT is used for communications between the cpu cores and to communicate with the system bus. This may mean another chipset problem, but it definitely means that the 5200 communicates much more slowly between it's cores and perhaps with the system bus. (HT = "HyperTransport" not "Hyper-Threading".)

 

The Bottom Line is that you can make the 5200 run better, but you can never get it to run as well as the 7750.

 

You might be able to examine the Wikipedia X2 chart and find an improved CPU that will fit the AM2+ socket. If you want to try this, I suggest you read some of the older pages on the OverClocking Club or Tom's Hardware websites, which should have opinions on the details of such an upgrade.

An intriguing note: Several years ago, there was a rumor that some Koreans had found a way to unlock the 2 extra cores in the 7750BE (Black Edition). It was somewhat common to build 4-core cpus, disable 2 of the cores and sell the result as a 2-core unit. I wonder if they also did that when a core or two didn't meet specs and they recouped some manufacturing cost by downgrading the chip.

 

Afterthought: I was not allowed to look at the *.cfg links that Narugo posted.

At least here in Brazil am2 processor is extinct, and that was the only thought on the day, but now I found that my motherboard can run AM3 ... was updated with bios 0804 and is able to run Phenom IIX61090T(HDT90ZFBK6DGR), 3.2GHz,125W, rev.E0,SocketAM3, 6-Core ALL 0804 http://br.asus.com/M...lus/M2N68AM_SE/ at next month ill buy it ;)

I gave up, I tried every type of accelerator, installed "Service Pack 1", reinstalled pb, that should put everything in compatibility mode, I tried all sorts of configuration used old lcd monitor 17 inch (1280x1024, 800x600), tv plasma42 (1024x768-800x600) of the maximum fps I got in the game was 40 fps and as we see in my signature to my net is 10 mb's.

 

 

I installed Everest and I can see is that even in the game I'm using 0% of the gpu, and I cannot use any benchmark3d always temperature rises and off.

 

And seeing reports of everest realize that it may be an error in the configuration of the bios. And a few days opengl 4.0 is not working, and physX is not showed in test 3d.

I know my real problem is my cpu look attach, can cpu slow because my videocard is using power from cpu?
