et server suggestion Vote : put bots spec or not.

Often, on the servers, we're confrontated with this kind of situation : there are bots and players in both teams, but there are more players than bots. In this case, bots are usually put spec. But if some players wanna play without bots, it's not always the case for everyone.

My suggestion is : what about put a new vote called 'BOT SPEC' (or something else similar) in the vote menu? Then players would be able to vote 'yes' or 'no' and admins would act according to the vote result. Ofc, the ability to activate the vote would be reserved for admins (or reliable regulars), to avoid useless spam.

Good idea. I often just ask it in chat but it can cause discussions (usually doesn't).

So you mean a vote without a result, unless admin acts.

In my experience, most people just want Bots spec anyway, it's usually the first thing they ask for when I connect and there aren't other admins around.

If there are not enough players on server, I am trying to keep teams 8 vs 8 and I always leave one slot for weaker team empty, so somebody can help instead of raping.

80% players don't even care about votes,they just pick F2 so it can disappear. There was a command !omnispec but it used to crash servers, besides it requires enhanced mod that also causes crashes.

The thing we can do is to use our common sense and maintain teams fair and the game anjoyable.

Some players also like to play with bots because they have difficulties to kill real players, my main intention was to make the server more enjoyable for them. Ofc, the server isn't always filled with weak players, but if the majority of the server is represented by weak players, I thought that such a vote would be useful.

But, indeed, a lot of players don't care about votes, or don't understand what the vote is about, and it would be the main problem on international servers like ours.
