What's your favorite Superbowl snack?

I go with the classy chips and salsa. Can't go wrong there.

make em yourself? if so, you bake or deep fry?

No I unfortunately have to buy them right now. We have this amazing place called Wing Run in Tulsa. But there is a pretty good discussion (with some recipes and cheaper alternatives to buying) about them at my other go-to forum:

Snack/dish same thing. I said snack because I don't eat one meal during the game, I eat a variety of snacks :P

Other than chips and salsa, I'll most likely be eating a Subway sandwich, M&Ms and nuts and some chocolate fondue. It will be a grand feast.

Buffalo wings aren't Buffalo wings unless you eat them like they do in BUFFALO NY. :P They were invented in the Anchor Bar, in downtown Buffalo, back in the 70's or 80's I believe...

Chicken wings, + deep fryer. Done.

The sauce is a blend of butter, and Frank's hot sauce (no brand substitutes are acceptable here in Buffalo). The ratio of hot sauce to butter is all about hot hot or mild you want your wings. Add the sauce to a large bowl, add your cooked wings, shake them in the sauce to coat them. Done.

Some Western NY folks like barbeque sauce on their wings. I don't like barbeque sauce on my wings unless they're put on the grill after. THEN you've got the most amazing chicken wing ever.

Coating cooked chicken wings in barbeque sauce, then grilling them after they've already been cooked was most popular here from a place on the West side of Buffalo called LaNova Pizza, which allegedly had ties to the Mafia. From there, another place in nearby Cheektowaga NY called Master Pizza started doing it, and called them "Charbeque Wings", from the charring effect the grill has on the wing, and barbeque sauce.

As for my superbowl snacks? I like to go shopping, driving, out to dinner, etc... Since there are a lot of football fans here, and I'm not one of them.

Empty stores, restaurants and roads = Antichrist playground. :)

Frank's hot sauce

Sauce of the gods. I seriously put it on everything. I mix it into my homemade salsa as well :)

@ Geoff I just got the goods to make those :) but instead of cream cheese I am using pepper jack and real bacon
