YMCMB Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 (edited) Justin Bieber has always been bad ass in my opinion. In today's time it's considered cool to make fun of celebrity's like him. The facts are he can sing, rap, act, and is 100 times more popular with the girls then any of the male people making fun of him makes no sense? Even might have a illegitimate child not I am saying that's right or cool as it's not but if it is true my point begin it's mostly males making fun of him and yet males want females and JB certainly excels in that area if that makes sense. I sense a lot of jealousy in the teenagers who mock him. JB is talented in many areas and is very easy to market as he has the looks it requires. None of you can give a honest reason to mock him. If the deal is true about his kid then there will be a reason but chances are most of you males would then respect him. Just the differences between men and women and how life works I guess. /end rant He did do a freestyle on Eminem's Shade 45 channel and it was him and Sway it was actually decent. This was about a year ago and during the first 16 bars he did get choked toward the end which is expected for people who normally don't rap. This one he did extremely well and I would like to know if it was a honest freestyle or planned before. He did get choked toward the end of course but went past 16 bars hence the DJ joking about coming to help at end of video. I have no doubts it was planned but the when we went over that had the fell of a freestyle hence the errors made and appears he was about to get choked more then once but only did once and came back from it. On his next album it would be nice to add a couple of songs done in the style of rap. He'll never be a rapper that will appeal to your hardcore audience but would expand his already vast audience. I do think doing a 'rap' song with Akon, Flo or T-Pain doing the chorus could peak and stay at number one. His work with Usher was widely praised and I think he could differently step up his appeal by doing a rap with a major star on chorus. A love song would be great as Akon and Pain are specialists in that department. Kudos to OP for making a unbasis thread. Edited November 8, 2011 by Amber L. Winchell Quote

I'm sorry but I'm inclined to disagree, I'll declare that I know very little about the music industry... But.. There's a fine distinction between badass and ignorant. Take Rebecca Black, I think the majority of people think her "Friday" song was rubbish, but she ignores the bad critics (the really nasty ones) and ignores the haters. Yes, that's commendable and yes, good for her to be famous, etc. But that hardly makes her bad ass. Quote

I declare any artist who has topped the charts with a large trail of people hating and keeps going bad ass. You've got millions of dollars and anything you want is yours while the people hating on you are struggling. (not all but you get the point) I'm not a fan of JB or Black but to pile though the haters and keep doing what you do is bad ass in my opinion. Not easy to keep going when a there is a lot of disrespect for you. We do disagree on this and that's fine as it's a opinion. Neither of us are right as there is no right or wrong in a opinion. Quote

Can't top that for an answer! No seriously I can't. That's one line of argument, personally I see badass as doing things which are considered extreme or something that requires a bit of testosterone, i.e, Rammstein. Personally, I suspect that the two teen' pop stars are a little over privileged, and their managers have their way with them. (If there's no right or wrong answer, and neither of us are right, does that mean we're both wrong?" And Rebecca Black is hardly a self-proclaimed millionaire, if I recall, she's still in disputes with her company? I'll stop arguing over the small points. Quote
Kat0n Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I don't like his/her voice (just hear the first words 'Justin Biiiiieber' and I think you'll understand ) I can't say I don't like him, I really don't know him, but I don't like his songs. Quote
TulsaGeoff Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 IDK I tend to stay away from lyricists so I guess if someone thinks he is badass then they are entitled to say so. I've just never heard the two words together LoL. Quote
