I live an hour and a half from where he was killed at the Alarosa Villa. I was supposed to goto that show with a few friends but our ride backed out!!!! Crazy stuff!

IMO Robin Trower should be included in your list ..

Seen him in concert back in the late 70s and he owned the place..

the thing with polls such as this is that there is no right answer. All are these guys are great but none is the greatest. Rolling stone magazine claimed that the top 10 were as follows:

 

1. Jimi Hendrix

2. Duane Allman

3. BB King

4. Eric Clapton

5. Robert Johnson

6. Chuck Berry

7. SRV

8. Ry Cooder (actually tutored Keith Richards)

9. Jimmy Page

10. Keith Richards

 

 

I am not sure that i agree with Rolling Stone but they are more of an expert in this department than myself.

haha well at least a few of mine rolling stone agrees with me. I would have duanae allman up there but dicke betts too. They actually got Chuck Berry on there! I got to play with Chuck Berry at The Blueberry Hill in St. Louis, MO. That was pretty cool
