GraveDigger Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I was wondering what type of cell phone you had and what is your opinion of it. Would you recommend it to somebody that is in the market for one? I personally just broke down and signed a contract with Verizon and bought this phone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EijOOHUUmo&feature=player_embedded Quote

sicsiksix Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I have a droid through Verizon and I love it. There are some really cool new droids coming out soon with Nvidia dual core processors (1ghz). Droid X2 Apparently Motorola has a phone coming out soon that doubles as a laptop. You can connect a keyboard and monitor! Motorola Atrix Phones are getting to be more and more like PC's. As soon as you have them, they're outdated! Quote

SkyeDarkhawk Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I have a Samsung D-347. Works great, and has no features beyond a Speaker Phone. This phone is no longer available for purchase at regular retailers. Which is a shame, it's nearly as durable as the Rugby or GZ-One phone line. Edit: Reverse reply; Yeah, this was my first phone that I got 4 years ago. I used it while I was a mechanic, and it's taken a beating from that. Then, during the time that I sold cell phones, I would demonstrate the near indestructible quality of this phone by throwing it up to the ceiling in the store, and letting it hit the concrete flooring. Sure, the battery cover would come off, and the battery would fall out, but toss it back together and it still works. My phone has been left out in the rain, left in a car for a year experiencing the full range of extreme temperatures (-20f to 150f), and still had a charge to it. My wife has been through 4 phones, breaking each of them. With this one, the only way it's going to break is if I snap it in half on purpose. Quote

Dude I used that phone for like a year after my other crappy phones buttons broke. That thing is a brick. I miss the old days of texting with one hand under the desk at school while staring nonchalantly at the wall. Now I've got to use both most of the time =/ I'm rocking the iphone 3gs. Absolutely love it and wouldn't drift away from iphones. Imo my phone is better than just about all of them out there as far as software and customization. Camera and hardware is a bit outdated, but still more than enough for pretty much every use, there's nothing I can't do that the iphone 4 can. Providing I updated my firmware. Quote
kristy Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 This is my phone-the Samsung SCH-u350. It's pretty damn crappy, with almost no features, but like what skye said, it's pretty damn durable too. I've dropped it so many times on concrete, it's been thrown into snow, dropped into water, and it works great. I've seen an iPhone though, and I really really want to upgrade to those, especially now that Verizon signed with Apple and now carries the iPhone. But I've got cheap Asian parents who bought me the u350 and I'm stuck with it until I move out or we strike the lottery or something. Quote
Blade Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I've been using an iPhone 4 for a couple months and I would recommend it, but it all depends on what you plan to use your phone for. An alternative is a droid, which is also a great choice as I've heard countless reviews saying how great of a phone it is etc. I haven't been really keeping up with the phone scene so sorry for my lack of information on the latest tech. =[ Quote
Forsaken Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Currently using a Droid X, but I go through phones like candy anyways. That samsung galaxy S/Facsinate is just aboutthe most powerful out right now due to its super gfx card lol, just not really any games to utilize that. Im currently waiting on the 1gb of RAM windows 7 phones with 1024x768 resolutions. Quote
