hobbit Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 change r_mode to -1 and set your r_customwidth and r_customheight to whatever your desktop res is.
CreAtioN Posted January 23, 2011 Author Posted January 23, 2011 (edited) it is now fullscreen but not covering the bottom so it looks VERY stretched now. When I click fullscreen it will change back to the previous issue So it will cover the whole screen except the load bar and the bar at the bottom that has the windows button on bottom left Oh woops lol sorry did r_customheigh 1020 instead of 1080. Thats why... Thanks Edit: I just exited and re-entered game and in went back to thin. SO there IS something wrong, Would you know how to make it normal? I shouldnt have to put those commands in everytime i play. Edited January 23, 2011 by +GoD+Prone
PHANTASM Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Make a file called autoexec.cfg in your etmain folder. Use Notepad and change the file extension to ".cfg" instead of ".txt" Then put this code in the file: seta r_mode "-1" seta r_customheight "1024" //your resolution here seta r_customwidth "1280" //your resolution here Then when you start ET it should load, and if not, type /vid_restart and it will reload the video settings. You may also have to run /autoexec.cfg once if it doesn't load the first time.
CreAtioN Posted January 23, 2011 Author Posted January 23, 2011 Ok thanks but shouldnt i be fixing the main problem which is that it is actually happening ever since I deleted the installed a driver?
PHANTASM Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Ok thanks but shouldnt i be fixing the main problem which is that it is actually happening ever since I deleted the installed a driver? You installed some weird program that messed up your computer. That is not an ET problem. DId you try right-clicking on your Windows desktop and setting the properties? If that doesn't work then I would use Control Panel and uninstall the program. Then completely uninstall your graphics card drivers, and reinstall them. If that doesn't work you may have to reinstall Windows. Tell your parents before you do this.
Saizou Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 See here, I think this might be a similar problem: http://fearless-assassins.com/topic/10755-screen/
CreAtioN Posted January 24, 2011 Author Posted January 24, 2011 Thanks everyone. I fixed it. I had to go to Nvidia control panel>adjust desktop and size resolution>Use nvidia settings. It must have changed itselfs somehow
vs. warrior Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Thank you creation! I had the same problem with the nvidia update
Chuckun Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 This topic is almost 1 year old. I'm glad it helped you but PLEASE don't revive ancient topics. It's especially pointless considering the OP is banned and can't see that you appreciate his topic. Thanks!
