Hello guys, after did play some three or four maps, i was put off automatic with the message: HUNK ALLOCATTEMPMEMORY FAILED 6279372 ... after, i cant conect again

download etlegacy , if u insist to play with 2.6b then raise hunkmegs from 56 to 128

My etmain etconfig.cfg shows "seta com_hunkMegs "512"  "  I seem to have 'overdone it' some years ago.  😄

Back when I started playing ET, I did not even have 512mb memory in my pc!

The Engine of ET is to Old.

Thats the Problem. Higher PC's are Problematic and low as well. Modern Graphicscards.......or old Graphicscards with Legacy.

 

In Germany we say:
No matter how you twist and turn, the ass stays in the back.

 

Adjust the values in the config file and try it out.

Otherwise, only a reset will help.

Tks mate, mine is 128 ... i downloaded the etlegacy and works, but i dont like this model, so i come back to 2.6b and work now for while ... i hope its fixed, thanks so much

just out of curiosity , what did u not like about etl? 😄 

its basically improved 2.6b.. 2.6b hasnt been updated in ages bruh

This question I find very interesting myself what was the issue with the ETLegacy client as I help develop it. While backwards compatibility has always been the core of ETL it’s starting to become clear as time moves forward it may not be wise to support 2.60b forever. So migrating clients and or solving their issues is important.
