ET Getting tired of this.....

I want to start this off by saying that for the most part I enjoy playing in this community, but in the past few months, it's getting very tiring to just continue to be at a disadvantage because of what I will call unfair advantages.

 

I'm not outright saying there are cheaters, but how else can you explain how some of the following things happen on a regular basis.........

 

• I'm killed by being hit only 2 or 3 times, but the opponent that I've hit 5 or 6 times still has ~80hp left.
  • Many times I have been on spec and watch shotgun battles of players getting hit 4 or 5 times at close range before being killed, but I have never survived more than 2 shotgun shots from any range.
• I have to shoot an enemy a minimum of 7-8 times to kill them (that usually includes at least 1 headshot).
• I'm being shot through multiple smoke/poison smoke screens.
  • I've been sniped many times by a single headshot through smoke screens as I'm laying down on the side of a hill in the Capuzo map as I wait for the smoke screen to clear out without firing a single shot to give away my position.
• Enemy knows exactly when to shoot at me when I come out from behind a wall/around a corner/out a door/etc...
  • Even running back & forth from behind cover, they know to only shoot when I'm about to come out from behind cover.
• I sustain multiple headshots from an enemy from half way across the map.
  • This is not just from snipers, Many times, I have been killed by 2 or 3 headshots in a row from other classes from long distance.
• When speed jumping across an area and I step on a mine I die, but I watch others do the same thing & survive.
• No matter what I do to avoid being shot, once I get hit once I can't avoid being shot again. It's pretty much an automatic kill. I get stopped in my tracks and cannot avoid anything. I can deke back & forth a bit, but never avoid taking fire.
  • On the opposite side, I can have my reticule directly on an enemy at fairly close range and still not register a hit on them until I've fired 2 or 3 times. When I do hit them, they are easily able to avoid my gunfire.

 

Honestly, it seems as though many players are using a script/hack to decrease damage to themselves or decrease their hitbox size. and also be using some sort of aimbot.

 

If there are some legal scripts to use to help alleviate any of these things, can someone let me know what they are and how to properly install them. I am getting beyond frustrated to just be fodder for any enemy. I have always believed in fair play and I do just play thins game for fun as a distraction from my work when I get the chance. I'm not ultra serious about it, but I hope some of you understand how frustrating it is to always feel at a disadvantage.

 

Also, I encourage any admin to spec me while playing to see what I'm talking about.

taking 2 or three headshots in a row is normal to kill you in game

 

similarly if you have to "shoot an enemy a minimum of 7-8 times to kill them (that usually includes at least 1 headshot)." just shoot them in the head 2-3 times instead

 

I experienced all of these complaints at some stage personally & I have a crap internet connection which I strongly suspect is the root cause in my case

 

e.g I put half a clip into a bot or another player and they move and shoot me three times and I'm brown bread

 

but it also works the other way sometimes to my advantage

 

I'm sure there's a few cheaters too but they get spotted and kicked quickly imo

Our servers have players with wide spread of skill level. Some have been profesionals, some play fps games whole their life and some are new to the game or just playing for fun.

This game also allows you edit your config by a lot, making the game look different to it's original look. Probably all good fraggers have their own config that strips the game of all unneccessary things making it as basic as possible. 

So yeah, if you want to dig into it you can try out different configs that people posted on this forum or we also have a section where you can request a config made specially for you by people who know about this game a lot. But other than having different configs, theres nothing else that those people have different from you. We all play the same game on the same server and I assure you, they're not cheating, they're are just better than you just like you are better than other players.

Hardware also makes a huge difference, that would be video card and screen

 

Some people play on non-gaming laptop, and may reach 40-50fps with poor resolution on a 15 inch screen

Whereas one player told me once he spent 3500 euro on his gaming PC, 32 inch screen 1ms response 144+Hz at max resolution

 

Then it comes to age : eyesight and reflexes are nowhere near what it used to be when you hit 50, 60. 70...

If you're tired of dying endlessly, I can suggest you to go spec some of the "pro" players on our servers that way you get a better idea how they move, aim, strafe etc. I also used to be a complete noob when I started ET back in 2022 and was making myself this same reflection as you. Even if I sometimes don't play well (which is often due to fatigue or boredom of playing the game but still do as a ritual), I still think I've progressed a lot. And as @ELSOsaid there are many configs available on the forum, you can download some of them and try them out for yourself in game (if you need help in how to use them, I can guide you if you want).

Those hacking or using an aimbot will be banned. That is totally prohibited on any FA server.

That is what i done myself and that helped a lot

I am one that used to have an average record of 5 kills and 15 death every single map on S1.

there is no such hack ....damage and hitboxes are server side u cant change these for each individual.  more team play makes it harder for a  pro player to camp for frags.

yeah well too bad there are people cheating in a 23 year old game.. just yesterday i caught a cheater on beginners2 server and gave him the ban hammer, none of them survives in any fa server.. all of them will be banned in the end.

a cheater can maybe get away with cheating for a few but will eventually get caught in the end and be banned from fa servers.

 

ET is fun game , but some lowlife psycopaths prefer to cheat inorder to look "good" for others maybe xD 

keep in mind that there are really skilled players in this game, ET doesnt require high end pc (unlike most modern games) so basically skills is what matters even if ur playing on a shit pc.

Hello there buddy I'll try to clear up some of the issue you might having I hope this might help. So okay hear me out Many of the stuff like those advantages are not really unfair as it would seem. It comes more to knowledge about game the background knowledge on physics and graphics. and the setup "monitor hardware graphics...." the setup can like swing your performance like to hugely insane degree. but what matters is you know you gotta work through of what you got and just find something you get comfortable with even without acquiring good setup

*so first of all you dont get killed with 2 shots when your health is full. Easiest way to kill someone in this game is 3 shots on the head. Most of the time when you engage in fight with someone always try to go for aiming for their head for at least getting some critical damage with one shot in the head. Playing on body shots isn't that good or effective. If youre new not used to that the best easy to get used for that keep tracking their neck when you shot. Second thing you dont wana run holding just W key when enemy is in front of you that makes your head line up with their crosshair so they can easily 3 headshot you down. Always the moment you engage keep dodging left and right and use the stamina bar. So on the shotgun I dont know that much bout it honestly

*now this thing about the smoke it's kinda depends on the context sometimes people with a better advanced visual setting like gamma and overbright and your position can play role on this part but I dont know honestly to say on this with being lacking a content

*on avoiding getting shot. Try not to stay in open areas too much. Keep some stamina in reserve it doesn’t need to be full bar. But having a bit saved is really useful so you can sprint crossing and avoid getting stuck out in the open. And using like jump movement can be helpful too
